"Nebraska’s 104 points set the Pinnacle Bank Arena scoring record (Nebraska, 97 vs. Mississippi Valley State, Nov. 14, 2015)"

" The 94 points by UTSA are the second-most points ever scored at Pinnacle Bank Arena and the most ever by a non-conference opponent"

These statements cannot both be true.  If Nebraska had previously scored 97 at PBA, then the UTSA's 94 points could at best be the third-most ever scored.

This is how the math works out

" The 94 points by UTSA are (the second-most points ever scored at Pinnacle Bank Arena and the most ever by a non-conference) opponent"

I see what you're saying.  It's not well written.

This obviously is not true because Nebraska (104 and 97) is #1 and #2.  The 94 then must be #3

this is true, and actually it's the most by a non-conference or conference opponent if @AuroranHusker is in fact right.

Ubel had only 143 shot attempts as a junior (for reference Jordy had 123 as a freshman) While not shooting a ton, Ubel was shooting over 50% from the floor starting his sophomore year.

Fair enough.  Rephrasing...people didn't think much of Ubel's game either until his Senior year.

I looked it up 9er. And it's the 4th most scored (UTSA's 94) by a *college* team at PBA. :D

That seems like a solid explanation, except for Auroran's point that Michigan scored 93.  If the writer meant "opponent" to apply to the whole statement, then it is wrong because UTSA scored the most points, not the second most.  But if "opponent" did not apply to the first half of the statement, then it's still wrong because UTSA scored the third-most points behind Nebraska twice.  So either way it's wrong AND it's horribly ambiguous.  Fire that writer!

Michigan scored 93, just last season in the finale.

James Palmer Jr. led the team with a career-high 25 points and went 5-for-11 from the floor and was 13-for-17 from the free throw line

Did anybody else see James come out after the game last night and shoot about 100 free throws?  13-17 wasn't good enough for him.

I would never put a loss solely on one individual so hopefully nobody takes it that way, but against Kansas they shot 8 free throws and so did we.

They made all 8 of theres and we missed two, both of which were by Palmer. Those two FTs could have been the difference between OT or maybe even a dub.

Im sure he knows that as well.

----What's with Copeland doing a little jump on his free throw?  It looks bad -- like he's lost confidence in his shot.

I noticed that as well Swan...it appeared to be an attempt to put an arch on his shot...it was really flat last night, as was Glynn's.

Both of would be great shooters if they had a little more arch in their shots.

Those thoughts had crossed my mind as well, and the emergence of the other players certainly is a good thing and can only help with Watson's durability and 'gas left in the tank' for the end of the season grind.  In general, I didn't think Watson looked quite right during most of the game.

But, he had 13 points and 2/0 assists/turnovers in 22 minutes, so that's not too shabby.:)

I believe he got two fouls early on and that got him bench time.
