I like the way it lays out.

We need to survive the first 7 games, could be a 'dog in 4 or 5 of those. But there's a chance we could do really well in those first 7 if we can repeat how we played on the road over the back half of last season, as I don't think we'll be a huge 'dog in any of them. With a veteran team, having some potentially tight road games early in league play should be to our benefit, especially if other teams are still trying to find their way.

Then we need to rack up the wins over the next 9, could be favored in 7 of them, maybe 8.

Tough final 4 games, may only be favored in 1 and a significant 'dog in 2 of them, but, if we've played well up to that point, we could be playing with a whole bunch on the line in those final 4 games.

Watching DSU Basketball - it's 2 hours of your life you'll never get back

Summit League starts conference play in that Dec 28-29-30 area, so that game won't be a Summit team. Looks like Missouri Valley does the same thing with its league schedule.

My guess is we have a D2 game in one of those slots, although a lot of D2 teams don't schedule games between end of 1st semester and Christmas, so it'd probably be the Dec. 29 game if we go that route.
