KarlHessEatMy....
I think which ever school she picks she will play both Volleyball and Basketball. I think she wants to be that person that excels in both in college. Which I don't even remember the last female that has played 2 sports in college and was great at both??? Fastbreaker
The tall girl from BYU excelled at both. She did in both our volleyball and basketball teams within a year of each other.
AuroranHusker
That was a very interesting peek inside an elite athlete's schedule in small town Nebraska. Wow, she's amazing to accomplish all of that stuff in a "normal" week!!
redsteve
From the things I've read...she hasn't decided on one sport. So maybe volleyball and basket ball. But she has tremendous skills and family history in track and field (discus). She may have offers already she hasn't disclosed. Will probably get a bunch. Merlin
I'm thinking track and field will be part of her future with her family history.
HUD
Also she has a lot of family history with NU. GBR

I'm somewhat disappointed that she won't throw discus in college, but she may change her mind. I fully expect her to break the state record this year. AuroranHusker
Glad Kalynn is a Husker, no matter the sport. GBR mwm89
huskerchode
I don't think there is any way she goes to Nebraska and doesn't throw for Coach Pepin. She can do both - like the Davis twins on the FB team. mwm89

I could see that with sand volleyball being top priority since thats where her scholarships coming from but could throw outside of those couple weeks. 12dozen
Would the strength and conditioning program for volleyball, be compatible with what is needed to compete in the discuss, at the collegiate level? I'm sure she is talented enough to do both, but not sure we would see her best in either, if she tried both. My guess, she will concentrate on volleyball. whoopdeedoo
maybe someone else could comment on this: i just finished reading some opinions that stated Kalynn's younger sister Shayla (8th grade) is a better basketball player than Kalynn was at this age. maybe coach might want to keep an eye out that way
