I'm assigning that to you as homework.

I get to do that (assign homework) because I'm Norm.  And you're not.  So ...  get to it.

Dropping the high and low from this season and from last season yields the following:

This year:  7,978 total minutes, or an average of 1140 for the players with returning D1 minutes (not counting the high and the low.)

Last year:  3,622 total minutes, or an average of 604 for the players with returning D1 minutes (not counting the high and the low.)

The player with the most D1 minutes this year accounts for 18% of the team's total D1 minutes.

The player with the most D1 minutes last year accounted for 39% of the team's total D1 minutes.

Going into last year, we had one player (Tai Webster) with at least 900 career D1 minutes.  This year, we have 6 such players.

I think someone was asking if we're really any more experienced as a team this year than we were last year.  This might answer that question.

Interesting stuff, indeed.

We were going to be more experienced this year than last year regardless, as the guys who transferred would have greater minutes coming into this year, obviously.

But what this information does (at the very least should do) is alleviate any fears of coming in with an inexperienced team even though we lost some pretty big cogs last year.

This is a cool way to look at the experience we have coming back.  Thanks @khoock and @Norm Peterson for doing the homework.  I dig it!

Average D1 minutes played per eligible player on roster during Miles tenure:

•2012-13: 583 min = 15-18 (5-13)

•2013-14: 420 min = 19-13 (11-7)

•2014-15: 801 min = 13-18 (5-13)

•2015-16: 604 min = 16-18 (6-12)

•2016-17: 523 min = 12-19 (6-12)

•2017-18: 851 min = TBD

There ya have it.
