WestOHusker Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 I will try my best to not get ahead of myself envisioning some Allen to Roberts lobs a few years down the road..... Too late.. I really want this guyThe thought of Allen, Xavier Johnson, and Nate Roberts on the court at the same time on the same team is quite a tantalizing one. Fingers crossed one. AuroranHusker Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 Nate Roberts is visiting Syracuse with his teammate, Buddy Boeheim (who recently committed to SU... as if there were any doubt?!?) Quote

rwhiston Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 So it looks like Boeheim might be an underrated recruiter. Must have a heck of a sales pitch. Swan88 1 Quote

According to Wiki, Jim Boeheim's birthdate is November 17, 1944. That means he's approaching his 73rd birthday. His current wife is 21 years his junior. On a recruiting note, check out this article. Here's what the article says about Nebraska: In talking about Nebraska, Roberts talked about how Nebraska coach Tim Miles wants Roberts to help rebuild the program. One other interesting note. Roberts mentions Nebraska assistant Kenya Hunter, who is a native of Arlington, Va., and previously worked as an assistant at Georgetown. "Coach Miles and Coach Hunter have been recruiting me for some time now. They constantly talk to me about the plan they have ready for me and the tools I would be given if I were to go there. Both coaches' relationships with me have been great. The program is not necessarily in a rebuilding process, but they want to make the right steps to get them over the edge and by recruiting me they believe I am one of those pieces that can help do that.'' That's a rather positive vibe I see from Nate in this article. Quote
ShortDust Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 He visited Syracuse this weekend. Decision Oct 17 comes down to us and them. Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted September 26, 2017 Report Posted September 26, 2017 I gotta think Xavier Johnson's commit helps the cause. Kid has great upside, especially with his touch on the jumper. Quote
rwhiston Posted September 29, 2017 Report Posted September 29, 2017 Don't know if it matters but he did retweet Xavier Johnson's video. Maybe the lure of going to a prestigious basketball program has diminished in the last few days. Quick question: if Boeheim paid his own kid to play at Syracuse is that considered allowance? Well Douggie McFresh's dad paid his way his senior year so I believe theres loopholes. Quote
