TourneyBound Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) Owens, has been at NU for 3 years, is taking a coaching job in Tampa, Fla. Any chance Boehm is next to go....... Edited April 25, 2017 by ConkintheCorner Quote
Cowboy Kermit Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Thread title says Teddy Allen not Teddy Owens. But I do wish Teddy the utmost best of luck in his new endeavor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
TourneyBound Posted April 25, 2017 Author Report Posted April 25, 2017 Ya saw that after I posted. Thanks Quote
AuroranHusker Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) Well, Teddy Allen is going to West Virginia as well as the Owens "Teddy" to FL. Time for the Teddy's to go. Edited April 25, 2017 by AuroranHusker Quote
jimmykc Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Seems an odd transition for one with his basketball pedigree. Where did you read this, and will this position be filled? Quote

Huskerpapa Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Heard this a couple of weeks ago, so it has been in the works. I wish Teddy well. Perhaps he will have some stud talent and will provide us a new recruiting window of opportunity in the very near future. Thattimeofyear4 1 Quote

Where did you read this, and will this position be filled? Teddy wants to be a coach on the floor, vs. an Ops guy. As CWG notes, this was a done deal a few weeks ago. I expect the position to be filled in-house, although that is pure speculation on my part. Brent Sapp and Greg Eaton are highly thought of in the basketball offices and athletic department. Quote
49r Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Great news for Teddy. Seems like a really good guy, all the best to him! Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 One thing I think needs to be made very clear about this. This isn't a case of a rat leaving a sinking ship. This isn't "turnover among assistants" that people often fret about. This is a simple deal of a guy wanting to be a coach rather than an administrator of sorts and doing what he can to get his foot in the door. That's all. Good luck to Teddy. jdw Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 Average cost per students in Florida public school is just under $10,000 in 2014. New Jersey an DC are over $19,000 per student for public school in 2014. I could be wrong but I'm guessing this is a better education. Ron Mexico 1 Quote
