Nebraseball is in 2nd place right now. Maryland is out front, but the next 6 are all bunched up.

I'm going to guess Maryland ends up going 18-6 in conference this year.  Can we get to 18 wins? That would mean winning out.....and honestly, with our remaining schedule that's not all that far fetched. Probably unfair to expect that though.  Illinois could do us a favor and take the series vs Maryland.

It'll be interesting to see how that tie (and giving up a lead after a delayed game) affect us by season end.

The tie is the one that is the true killer.  Because you don't know if that was a win or loss.  I can live with the crappy loss as a reason we didn't win the regular season title.  However, I will be pissed if a TIE keeps it from us.

Have trouble seeing us pass Maryland, they should win out with series against Illinois and NW. 

 

Honestly would rather finish the year hot and win the tourny in Bloomington. We do that and we could host as a 2-seed.

Indiana consistently being rated above us has my blood pressure a little high still. We have a better record, a better conf record and beat them head-to-head on the road. I understand the RPI argument, but on the field results should trump some metric.

We control our own destiny in the conference. Pretty awesome. We go 5-1 the rest of the way and Maryland goes 3-1 - were conference champs.
