I hope Johnson is physically/mentally ready to go next year and can be a consistent threat to break down the opposing defense off the dribble.  NU doesn't really have anyone right now that can do that.  IMO, Watson has regressed regarding that ability mostly because of his lack of bulk (although, maybe less penetration had something to do with the significantly different make-up of the team), Palmer really is more of the brute force type of penetrator who's going to look to shoot before passing and I don't think Allen is really that kind of player at all.  Without anybody who can shoot well, that's a recipe for disaster.  Michigan and MSU absolutely destroyed NU with relatively unhindered dribble penetration and kick-outs for 3 or drop-offs to the screening big guy for easy layups/dunks.

If Kenya Hunter does indeed take a job at UConn, I do not like the possibility of him taking Xavier with him. Wasn't he lead recruiter for him?

Ok you're right I guess I could've just read the title of this thread all the way through. I doubt he'd decide to transfer without even attending UNL but who knows nowadays.

Crap.  I know recruits shouldn’t dictate whether you keep coaches or not, but he was a big part of me being hopeful for Miles’ future success.

Well, he didn't entirely rule out Nebraska at least. Sounds like the door was left open just a little. Maybe the new assistant we hire and our AD's belated decision could open it a bit wider. Not to mention how next year's roster ultimately takes shape.

It’s a real shame he based his commitment to Nebraska off of an assistant coach that had virtually no chance of still being here in 3 or 4 years anyhow. Might of just been a transfer in a year or two when kenya probably woulda left anyhow. I always figured Kenya would leave once his son was done with high school anyways, turns out he just got out while the getting was good.

I believe uconn filled up their last scholarship today w a St. John’s transfer and Georgetown got their point gaurd of the future a couple days ago. Hopefully he listens to his mom and still gives us a look.

Yup he’s looking at 2-3 years of 30+ minutes a game and possibly bein the main man if roby leaves next year. Very intrigued by the guy we offered yesterday however.
