They have two open scholarships.  I don't see how them pursuing Allen has anything to do with Bowen.  Unfortunately, most believe he lands at Creighton(Bowen, not Allen.)

If we can get Allen, Maye and then two out of the 3 Ernst/Duby/Polar-Bear Chandler then I will be as optimistic about next year as I would have been before this mess.

I'd say it's an extreme long-shot that NU is truly "in the mix," however. Which saddens me.

Serious question- would getting Thomas Allen be somewhere in the ballpark of neutralizing all four of the transfers? Or in other words, you'd be back to what you thought this season would be or could be before Ed Jake and Horne left?  For me, it would put me back on the optimistic side and away from neutral/let's see how it plays out.

IMO, no.   We needed Allen (or another quality guard) before the transfers.   The transfers didn't open up this need.  It opened up other.   This simply fills a need we already had before the transfers

allen could probably replace a lot of websters production, and copeland will replace ed's production.

 

nana will replace horne's production.  palmer will probably start at 2 if we don't add allen.

 

so basically jacobsen is the only guy we need to replace.

Hard seeing it this way.  Struggle seeing Copeland, Nana or Palmer as being replacements as we already had those guys in the fold.
