2017 C Luka Garza -> Iowa

Recommended Posts

it looks like he maybe typed that first sentence a few times:

"Luka Garza, a three-star center from Washington D.C."

"Luka Garza, a three-star center out of Washington D.C."

"Luka Garza, a three-star center haling from Washington D.C."  With the incorrect spelling

and just never spent any time proofreading...ending up with:

Luka Garza, a three-star center out haling from Washington D.C.

What are ya?  The frickin' grammar cop?

Because he also misspelled "hailing."  Just, y'know, saying.

Garza looks like a guy that, given a few years of development, could end up a good one.  At a minimum he would've beat out Duby and Tanner on the depth chart for us.

Thought he looked like a player who develop well.  He has good range and he is awkward enough to make him tough to cover.

We could really use a dude like that right about now, huh? Funny you should ask, though. My understanding is it came down to Nebraska and Iowa and our coach didn’t get an extension and theirs had a full contract. So ...

No kidding so this is that mysterious recruit people refer to from time to time we lost due to miles contract?

Considering the article listed in the link above from June 2016 didn't even mention us and the news of the no extension broke in August 2016, I think its safe to say he was gone.

If the long term stability of a coach is a priority for a recruit, they probably put more research into it than waiting for OWH articles to appear.
