  1. Today
  2. Hahaha it's funny because in any other food I agree completely. But for some reason in Runzas it works for me.
  3. Great burgers; but the smell and taste of Runza's make me sick...it is the cooked cabbage thing...
  4. The cost of bling! Great players come at a great monetary cost. But there can also be a cost relating to team commraderie and chemistry. Player A may have a lot of talent and wants to be the main dude and get the highest number of shots; but it could isolate that player from the remainder of the team...and what you get, is what we had, the first couple years under Fred. So it becomes a high pressure, highly important balancing act when we are building the team via the portal. We seem to be getting the right type of players as we build our roster. But if certain players want certain $$$ or guarantees, I assume they are advised to move on. So when I see a player we seemed to want, move on to greener pastures, my initial reaction is angst. It then dawns on me that perhaps the coaches and administration likely are fully vetting the potential roster invitee, and perhaps decided independently or mutually, that Player A best play elsewhere.
  5. Very apt comparison, and also an NBA player.
  6. Every couple of years I order them and have them shipped to me. It's STEEP but I don't make it back to Nebraska. And like you it's one of the things I miss the most. https://runzashop.com/products/order-runza-sandwiches
  7. If you can get PGs that can hit 3s or post players that can hit threes, great. However at some point it's important to value defending and rebounding as well given they're factors to winning. As long as Fred has self-starting guys, he's more than capable of adjusting his gameplan.
  8. We're interested but probably not interested in paying what it will take to land Payne. If you're not willing to pay'n to get the Payne, then you're going to feel the pain.
  9. We're interested but probably not interested in paying what it will take to land Payne.
  10. Griffiths reminds me of former Terp Kevin Huerter. And that's meant as a compliment.
  11. Not joking, Runza in general (and Temperature Tuesday in particular) is one of the things I miss the most after moving out of state.
  12. I said this last season that Brice Williams will be 'the man' in the mold of JPJ. And a lot of ppl didn't take to that notion, oh well. BW has proven to be well on his way to being that dude. Love what he's brought to the table in a tough spot, at PG. But, now, he'll be unleashed without KT30 around at the primary shot-taking spot.
  13. Unless this is Brice's brother, I'm assuming you meant to write William Kyle III.... droppin' dimes, @hhcmatt?
  14. 1. William Kyle III 2. William Kyle III 3. William Kyle III 4. William Kyle III If saying the same name 3 times doesn't improve the odds of landing him, then I'll go with this: 1. William Kyle III 2. Igor Milicic (I'm assuming Mast is out next year) 3. A big time shooter who knows his role. 4. Matar Diop . . . more specifically a big athletic project who doesn't expect minutes and can give you a good look on the scout team. (I'm assuming this player will transfer out no matter what unless you catch lightning in a bottle) * I thought about getting a lock-down defender, but I'm thinking our defense will take a big jump just because we are adding a lot more length and athleticism to the scheme.
  15. I want player(s) who fit our system, who is/are unselfish and place team accomplishments above their own.

  17. I think Elvis Costello must be an uncle.
  18. i think this is a very good pick up for Maryland....
  19. 100%. This was very obvious watching our last 2 games. This is the evolution and I'm very pleased.
  20. For me it depends on what happens with Mast. I feel good about him coming back, solely based on it seeming like he's hosting visits (he usually follows the portal guys immediately following visits on IG). 1) an athletic big is non-negotiable for me. Has to happen. Whether that be Kyle or someone new, has to happen. 2) a shooter. Brendan Hausen would definitely be a good option. Essegien would also if he doesn't commit to IU here soon. There's others out right now, but an off ball movement shooter needs to be a priority. 3) if mast is back and good to play, then this one is a bit of a wild card. I could see this one being a 4 body with multiple years of eligibility (Sam Walters for example). If he ISN'T good to play, Igor is the priority. If that falls through, and I'm not entirely confident we land him tbh, they need to pivot to a game proven 4. 4) this could be a few different types of guys. Id personally take a HS recruit that has potential, but needs time, but those typically don't work out. Could also be a Cale Jacobsen, but there's no "it has to be this archetype". I'm very intrigued on how they finish this class. Id say the top of the 6-7 is pretty locked, with mast being the wild card. I personally think janowski will break into the rotation by years end too, but I'm projecting him outside of that top 6-7 at this point. Probably can add one or two more rotation pieces, or guys to compete for a rotation spot at minimum. Athletic big obviously is one. Shooter, and if mast is hurt, a stretch 4 like Igor
  21. Gotta make sure you’re a good candidate for it though. I have a cousin who went blind in one eye after. I mostly wear contacts and for me, the risk of losing my sight is definitely not worth removing the inconvenience of taking contacts in and out everyday.
  22. This may be a want more than anything, but if we miss on Kyle, this is my next target. Super athlete that will provide rim protection opposite mast or whoever. Looks to be great on rolls to rim also.
  23. On the Volleytalk board it usually comes from someone close to the program (donor). Do not always get a name but do hear about a visit(s).
  24. He had to do a lot of running the offense last year, which took away from the reason we brought him in, to score. I think we see a leap in him next year. He needs to be a second team all big ten guy imo, and I think he has the capabilities for that.
  25. Russian Germans have quite a history in Lincoln. Runza, anyone?
  26. Hausen is a straight up 3pt specialist. He’d be a great threat off the bench with enough size at 6’4”. He made 61 threes last year at 17min a game at 38%. KT made 76 threes at 26min a game at 37%. So to say Hausen is a gunner is an understatement. He’s gotta love the green light/system KT put on film (not nearly the bag but H is probably as good of a shooter at high volume, which is to say elite).
