Just for comparison purposes, the first ten commits listed in the Rivals database goes back to 2003, and here's the tale of the tape:

Charles Richardson ... Rivals 0-star

Shuan Stegall ... Rivals 0-star, transferred

Andrew Drevo ... Rivals 0-star, transfer from NAIA school

Marcus Neal ... Rivals 0-star

James Reynolds ... Rivals 0-star, transferred

Marcus Perry ... Rivals 3-star

Aleks Maric ... Rivals 2-star

Joe McCray ... Rivals 3-star, transferred

Jamel White ... Rivals 3-star, transferred

Chris Balham ... Rivals 3-star

I think those 0-stars were what they actually had at the time as opposed to a database error or something.  I specifically recall Chuck being a 2-star under Scout.  Reynolds was a last minute pick-up who basically never played and transferred after one season.  Maric was obviously under-rated as was Richardson, but those were the ratings they carried and, for the most part, I think those would have been accurate coming out of HS or juco, depending.

These were the days we would have wet our pants to get a commit from just one kid who was in the Rivals 150.  Do you remember how we went crazy over Roburt Sallie?  He wasn't even a Rivals 150 player and we went nuts over him.

So, I look at that list in the OP and I think to myself, "Is this really Nebraska basketball's last 10 commits I'm looking at?"

I'm going to project a lineup here not using names.

PG  Rivals 4-star, backed up by Fran Fraschilla's Favorite Foreigner

SG  Rivals 4-star, backed up by Fran Fraschilla's Favorite Foreigner

SF  Rivals 4-star backed up by Rivals 4-star and a long Aussie sharpshooter

PF  Rivals 4-star backed up by a Rivals 150 and a long Aussie sharpshooter

C  Rivals 150 backed up by Rivals 3-star

Back when Street & Smith put out a pre-season pub, they did a listing of top recruits, not quite numerical order, but probably about the top 150.  They'd break the country down by region -- east, south, Midwest and west -- and list the "best" from that region and then the "best of the rest" from that region.  All told, about 150 players.

I can remember names in there like Jamar Johnson, Strickland, Boone and Woolridge, Louis Truscott, among others.

Danny's '91 team was stacked.  All the Piatkowski years, basically, we had really solid talent.  But I think our roster over the next few years (if everyone hangs together) will rival any other era of Danny Nee basketball at Nebraska outside of the Piatkowski years.
