Play the "Poor man's" Game...

Game:  Based on their natural gifts, who do you think would be a great player for each of our players to model their game after?

My thoughts:

Watson -- Allen Iverson

Gill -- Nick Van Exel

Webster -- Jimmy Butler

White -- Bruce Bowen

Roby -- Kevin Durant

McVeigh -- Eric Piatkowski

Horne -- Jared Sullinger

Morrow -- Dennis Rodman

Jacobson -- Paul Milsap

Tshimanga -- Zach Randolph

I like your list. I would rather see Watson channel John Stockton. Not only for assists and 3 pointers but for attitude. Stockton was a serious competitor who hated to lose and knew how to make his team better.

He does have some Stockton qualities, I agree.  I'm not sure Watson will ever be the three point threat Stockton was.  His crossover and pullup game were what reminded me of Iverson the most.

Watson has very similar qualities to AI.  Also i love the Nick Van Exel comparison for Anton.  In Nicks prime, he was unstoppable.

Also, although Jordy is left handed and will play the center position, i would love to see him add some Lamarcus Aldridge to his game.

Game: Based on their natural gifts, who do you think would be a great player for each of our players to model their game after?

My thoughts:

Watson -- Dee Brown (Illinois version, consummate leader and smart player who picked his spots offensively)

Gill -- Dion Waiters (Syracuse version)

Webster -- Danny Green (SA version, self made into a nice 3 point shooter and elite defender)

White -- Kawhi Leonard (SA version who morphed from 3 and D player to all around force)

Roby -- Kyle Anderson (UCLA version, nice all-around game)

McVeigh -- Luke Hancock (Louisville, skilled shooter and passer)

Horne -- Draymond Green (GS version)

Morrow -- Thomas Robinson (KU version, just a junkyard dog)

Jacobson -- Nick Collison (KU, pro versions)

Tshimanga -- Marc Gasoline (defensive anchor, with great footwork)

Meh.  Other schools and the NBA don't interest me.  So I'll play this "poor man's" game from a different perspective.  What ex-Husker is this player most like?  I think some of these comparisons work well.  Others not so much.  Feel free to offer better comparisons below.

Watson   =    Brian Banks

Gill          <    Eric Strickland
Webster  <   Nate Johnson
White      =    I can't think of an ex-Husker that compares to White, so, Andrew White
Roby       >   Bill Jackman
McVeigh  <   Eric Piatkowski
Horne      =   Terry Smith
Morrow    =   Claude Renfro

Jacobson =   Bruce Chubick
Tshimanga=  Carl McPipe
