  1. No, I would love both. But my assumption is that both are seeking immediate playing time and only one will come.
  2. I hope Nana develops the handles to play Tai's role. Nana is super athletic, looks lean and quick and can really shoot the 3. Just needs to improve his dribbling. I remember one high level tournament he played in and had 0 turnovers for the tournament so he must have pretty good handles and at least serviceable passing..
  3. I wonder if we are slow playing him a bit to see where we stand with Allen.
  4. He has all the tools but may lack the handles. I read a review by one of the Rivals experts that questioned if Nana could play the 2 because his ball handling is a bit suspect. This experts conclusion was that Nana should play the 3.
  5. I wonder who they prefer between Ernst & Duby? I assume Ernst. I am sure they would like both but probably a case where demand for playing time next season limits it to one or the other. With the dire need I assume they take the one who commits first.
  6. Wow, he averaged 36 points a game last season? Seems he wasn't in the largest school size but that's still a bunch!
  7. Who do you like best for the two open spots nustudent?
  8. Bolingbrook beats Fremb for 3rd place in state to finish 30-2. Nana 2nd leading scorer with 16. For a good part of the season Bolingbrook was rated #1 in the state of Illinois.
  9. Bolingbrook led most of the game & Nana led Bolingbrook in scoring with 16.
  10. This. With Palmer an academic risk and Gill's recovery uncertain, we need to back fill guards. I am no medical expert but have read that recovery from a patella rupture is very difficult and those that do play again often never regain their former athleticism. Regarding Palmer, I have heard nothing recently but as of a month or two ago the margin of error for him to make it was razor thin. I hope they both make it and contribute next season but HCTM better cover their spots anyway.
  11. Many of the shouters have plenty of free time & are paid to shout. Not sure they're are willing to pay for a sporting event.
  12. I believe they are waiting for a school holiday so he won't miss classes.
  13. What I am interested to see from Nana is his handles and ability to drive to the hoop. Ever since I read an analysis from a Rivals basketball expert that said Nana did not have the handles to play SG in the B1G, I've had visions of another AWIII. Not that another AWIII would be bad, especially if he was team oriented versus me oriented, but I would love to see Nana come in with the ability to play wing & SG.
  14. I was told that the Huskers are in the market for a PG, but I'm sure a combo guard fits the description. I was also told that the opening will come from a Fuller transfer or Palmer academic casualty. I was told Palmer is very questionable so my comment that he can still make it may be generous. I do agree with you Norm that additional transfers may occur. For the sake of the team, I hope Palmer makes it. In the practices I've attended he looks long & athletic and was hitting his 3s in scrimmages.
  15. More than a guess. If he buckles down he can still make it.
  16. Guessing the open spot is between Palmer not making grades or Fuller transferring out as a graduate transfer. The Huskers are actively interested in signing a PG.
  17. Actually one of 12 boys players nominated. 9 are girls.
  18. He has applied for a medical hardship and, if granted, will be eligible to play two years beginning next fall.
  19. In that same segment didn't Miles also say that without Gill we would lose quickness/be a step slower on defense? Thus the zone idea. That was my take.
  20. At some point they played on the team. High school I think.
  21. I agree. When AG is fully back up to speed from sitting out a couple months he will be a real scoring threat. I'm not sure if he, Glynn or Roby will be the go to at the end of the shot clock, but it will be one of those three. Miles mentioned Tai as one of the best options for the end of the shot clock but I'm not sure he truly has the skillset necessary.
  22. In a conversation with Jack McVeigh towards the end of the season last year he told me two things. 1. That AWIII may go pro & very well may not be here this year 2. That Anton Gill is a scoring machine in practice & had just put up over 30 points against the starters in a 10 minute scrimmage a few days before. Jack was correct on #1. I still believe that when AG is fully healthy & in game shape we will see the player Jack described.
  23. Anyone have any information? I heard someone on and ISU board claimed ISU won by 9.
