  1. I bet the author is pretty bummed about last season. Probably would have sold a lot more copies if we hadn't sucked last year.
  2. Hunter was the lead recruiter and Morrow and Watson. He was also responsible for Andrew White.
  3. I don't think we are on Lightfoot's radar. He is ASU's to lose - decommitted after Bobby Hurley reached out to him.
  4. I believe Harriman was the lead recruiter on Jacobson as well. I agree that we need to see who Miles brings in to replace him before we get too upset about this. But as we saw with Doc, lots of staff and roster turnover every year is not a good thing when you are trying to build a program. It's starting to feel like deja vu.
  5. At least Mathews and Benford left for major programs (UCLA and Marquette). Losing Harriman to a mid-major school, after all the support his family has received here, is a bit troubling. You have to wonder if he and Miles had some differences. He's getting more money, will be the defacto #2, and New Mexico has a good basketball program. If his goal is to become a HC, does staying here seem like the right move? We could have easily offered him more money and a fancier title. Craig Smith went directly from being an assistant here to being a D-I head coach, so I don't see how staying here will hurt his HC goals. How many guys go from Mountain West assistant to D-I head coach? New Mexico just lost one of their assistants to an assistant job at Bradley for God's sake. It's not that great of a program.

  7. I wish we would have hired Rich Brodersen as the PA announcer. He does a great job at the state tournament.
  8. It seems like we get embarrassed every time we play on ESPN (main ESPN, not ESPN2 or ESPNU). After that one Big Monday game where KU beat us by like 50, I can't believe they ever put us on again.
  9. I wish him well, but I don't see him getting much more playing time at Georgetown. The Hoyas have 3 freshman power-forwards this year who are all pretty good players, and 2 more Top 100 post players coming in next year.
  10. Andrew White, Terran, Shavon, Fuller and Tarin can all shoot from the wing. We need a threat inside to force the defense to collapse and open the outside for these guys. More importantly, we need a rebounding and defensive presence inside. McVeigh does not look very strong or very quick. Even if he's a good shooter, I don't think he'll be ready defensively to guard wings in the Big Ten.
