  1. Washut this morning mentioned that things are starting to lean back to Gates staying around. He acknowledged that he thought he'd end up at Missouri, but due to the family liking Lincoln and the salary he's making...it's more likely he sticks around.
  2. Krissa got outclassed big time by Houston’s backcourt tonight
  3. Don't really think they have the luxury of gambling on someone. Whoever we take needs to be guys who have logged some minutes...even if at a lower level.
  4. Yes. And it's also why I think our defense and effort look worse than what it truly is at time. Granted...I'm not saying it is good. I'm just saying that when you get overmatched physically night in and night out....that takes it's toll over time. A better effort helps. But you're still at a disadvantage. Game by game that can be overcome. Over the course of 20-some odd games...you get beat down.
  5. I think it was inevitable that one of the 4 wasn't coming back. I don't think it is that far fetched that those 3 return. Oleg was always a project. And he's not going to end up transferring anywhere at a major level right now. Walker is a senior next year and Keita a junior so there's definitely a window/path towards future playing time, even if it doesn't happen now. Not to mention, that while, it might not be ideal or prototypical for Fred's system, but Walker can give us minutes at the 4 as well, opening up time for Oleg to back up Keita. You need 4 bigs to have a chance and right now that's what we have provided we don't add anyone this offseason.
  6. Would've liked to keep him. His length is something that can't be taught. He was still raw though. He's not the guy who is/was going to make this a good team from a bad team. He was a nice depth piece though.
  7. Plus, IIFC, Walker is from the Kansas City area. Getting NIL and playing close to family probably carries more value than some random place in Poland or wherever.
  8. Dang. Would’ve liked to keep him. Hopefully it means Walkers back for sure.
  9. Also worth noting that we are still 2 over the limit. We probably know on some guys but still have to wait to see what spots are available.
  10. I agree that we probably won’t be doing to much recruiting (or seeing movement on it) for the next few weeks. hopefully we have at least one guy lined up so when Gates leaves we are still down just one guy.
  11. I was hoping we would've explored it. A true point with Big 10 experience.
  12. I go back and forth. We need another ball handler. He's tough, experienced and athletic. Things we lack quite a bit of. He also has a unique ability to make a pretty dumb/cheap play or two each game. Part of me wants to see McPherson in his role. The other part of me, wants to have both for insurance.

  14. The biggest thing that I see with that group is that, at least on the surface, your supporting cast is much strong and seemingly much more able and willing to do the little things. Each of Hoiberg's 3 years, we've had 2-3 pretty good players. But the drop off from those top 2-3 to the rest of the group is stark. Alongside those 2-3, we're trotting out 2-3 guys that aren't D1 players and 2-3 that should be low D1 players. That goes without saying we've had no size or depth on the interior which impacts just about everything, especially in the Big 10.
  15. Ramel Lloyd has removed his Nebraska content from social media
  16. Nothing official but I think everyone expects him too.
  17. Technically doesn’t. He’s banking on a medical redshirt waiver
  18. The tweet he sent a few days ago also seemed interesting. Certainly seems like a goodbye.
