  1. I will give Coach Williams credit for a strong game plan. I can't remember doubling the post one time. The reason of course is there was nobody in the low post. The ball was hardly ever on the wing or baseline so we could not force sideline/baseline into help or a low percentage shot. Everything was from the top either by ball screen or straight line drive. Tip your hat to them for knocking down three pointers. Illinois did a lot of the same things. I didn't think we had great individual defenders this year but they were a product of the system which is s tribute to both the coaches and players. TAM was just prepared for that system and got hot from three.
  2. I saw a quick glimpse of that on TV and wondered the same thing.
  3. Nebraska has contacted him, as well as 20 some other schools.
  4. On his way to a triple double AA (bra)
  5. At home in the living with the wife. Dog will be downstairs as he hates basketball or me yelling at the TV, not sure which one. I don't like to watch Husker hoops at bars or with others as I feel like telling everyone to "shut up, I'm listening to the game"
  6. Since many of us are music fans, I thought this was interesting. I will save you the clicking time and our guy's favorite band is Queen. Looks like he has good music taste as well as coaching cred.
  7. Eliminate the NIT and CBI and put 128 teams in the NCAA tournament. It would only add one more round.
  8. The braketologists talked about TAM being a tough match up for Houston in the second round because they are so athletic and board the ball so well. Two traits I don't like to see in a Nebraska opponent.
  9. So, one off being a seven seed, and the team at 28 is Dayton.
  10. I DVR'd the game and stopped watching after half. What time do we play tomorrow?
  11. I thought KT would be higher in the media poll as he seems to be a media darling that they try to promote. It is a tribute to him that he is regarded so highly by the coaches. They must recognize how they have to prepare for him and the impact he can have on a game. Granted he doesn't do it every game but I would think he is feared as much as anyone in the conference as a guy that can go off and carry a team.
  12. I remember the Penn game being very frustrating. I was not expecting much from the 1998 team as I was a little surprised they made the tournament and they almost pulled that one out. The 1991 team of course was the biggest disappointment. The others were like, okay we lost.
  13. I agree. It's fun and everything but treat it just like you would any other game. Takes the pressure off the guys and all the talk of NU never winning one. Act like making the tournament is expected. It would drive me nuts when high school parents would make such a big deal out of going to state and kids would be so much on edge they would psych themselves out and play tight and nervous. Granted these guys are older and more mature, but I would not treat it as that big of a deal. (until the season was over) The tournament games are exciting enough by themselves.
  14. They are sitting at 20-14 now and at one time had a losing record. They play the top seed College of Charleston tonight and the winner is in the tournament.
  15. Stony Brook, a 7th seed, will play for the CAA championship and a trip to the tournament tomorrow.
  16. So an 11 PM start now that we have 3 games in front of us that will all go into overtime.
