  1. Would like to see some trapping out of the 1-3-1. Not all the time but when a decent opportunity arises. With the length NU has trapping a 6'2" player with Palmer, Roby or Copeland could create some breakaway chances. NU did trap once out of the man to man and it led to lay up.
  2. I know there will be complaining about the amount of 3 ptrs shot in the 1st half but a lot of them were open. Good teams make those. If those go in it would've opened up the lane for drives. And still have shot at NCAA tourney. The window of opportunity is smaller but need to finish season strong and make some noise in conference tournament.
  3. Lee Barfknecht just tweeted that since halftime of Purdue game Watson is 11 of 52...21.1%. That includes his 0-5 tonight.
  4. Think that's just part of being a Nebraska basketball fan.
  5. Unfortunately the offense isn't.
  6. Well got the illegal screen out of the way. Mark that off your Big 10 officiating bingo card.
  7. Liked the smile from Jordy after that put back.
  8. 2 decent looks from 3. But maybe not. I agree with TimSmiles on the high angele view.
  9. Forgot that I DVR'd this game and there is still something from this game that intriques me. And I saw the same thing in the Michigan/Rutgers game yesterday. Wagner was still standing on the free throw lane stripe when free throws were being attempted. It occurs with13:12 left in game versus NU and I don't recall when it happened in their Rutgers game but both times (it happened at least 4 times versus NU) it is very clear that he is on and actually over the line. How is this not a violation? And wouldn't calling a violation on him be easy? Sorry but I just think this shows the inadequacy of the Big 10 officials to not call something that easy to detect.
  10. @czabe Caught that as well...if I just had a pie, I have some cheeries

  11. Is his toe on the line? This same player (Mo Wagner) did this, at least 4-5 times against Nebraska and it was never… https://t.co/SswM9zskR5

  13. How did we lose

Just told my son that very thing.
  14. Road to 20

A huge salute to you for doing that. I went through about 20-25 of them yesterday but only about 5 or 6 of those had been updated following the win over Michigan and I found Nebraska in one. And it was showing NU at 19th team out.
  15. Road to 20

I'm trying to convince myself that 7-3 and 1 win in tourney gets NU to NCAA tourney. But 3 losses will be to teams that NU should finish above in conference standings. Losses to PSU, Maryland Minnesota or Indiana could very well be against teams that NU is competing against for conference seeding and possible spot on tourney bubble. So any losses against them hurt. Rutgers x 2, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa I feel are games that if NU loses will be bad mark on the resume'. So any losses against them hurt. The Huskers are in a very touchy situation. They could win every game they have remaining but also face a challenge in every game left. I would definitely take a 7-3 finish though. And as I browse through the many projected brackets I find it amazing that NU is 2 games clear of Minnesota in league standings and has a win over the Gophers. Both teams are 14-7 overall and Nebraska is 63 in RPI while Minnesota is 68. But Minnesota is listed in a few brackets and is usually mentioned in the next 8-10 out.
  16. 1. Gill's 1st 3 ptr came from same spot he airballed one from versus Illinois. NIce adjustment. 2. Enjoyed watching that arrogant UM fan leave early. Even an 8-10 year old didn't like his antics. 3. Making shots is fun. Bench went nuts when Malcolm Laws made that runner. 4. Thumbs up to the officiating crew. Other than review of possible flagrant foul and Copeland screen call foul thought they did a decent job. 5. Is it legal to stand on the free throw lane stripes during a free throw attempt? Mo had his gun boats not only on the line but sometimes in the lane on attempts. I would think that it should be called since being in the lane too soon is a violation. Refs would've gotten "good job" in #4 if not for this oversight.

  22. Officials getting a call correct versus Huskers in a game at PBA. Color me surprised!! If Tom Eades, Karl Hess and Ted Valentine were on the whistles I would've really been nervous. Of course NU wouldn't even had been in the game if they were reffing.
  23. I was thinking overtime when Palmer's shot went in because like you mentioned the official closest to him signaled 2 and pointed inside the arc. I then looked up and saw 64-63 on scoreboard and was hoping that was correct. Guy beside me told me he thought it was easily a 3 and right after that the replay came up and all was good in the Vault. Was actually surprised as well that they didn't put time on the clock and give Illinois an inbounds chance.
  24. Bracketmatrix showing 5 B10 (Purdue, MSU, Michigan, OSU and Maryland) teams in the tournament with Penn St. and Minnesota now getting play on some brackets. Next 3 games are big for Huskers. Going 1-2 would probably have a slight negative impact. So need to get at least 2 of the 3 in my opinion.
  25. Not sure how many lay ups and wide open 3 pointers NU missed but good teams convert those opportunities when given the chance. And there was a stretch in the 2nd half where the ball seemed to get slick. NU seems to play to the level of the competition so hopefully the product on the floor Thursday is much improved. Also props to the guy behind me in section 100 that got a "Go Big Red" chant going during one of the late timeouts.
