Yep, when the rubber hits the road, the guys choose where they wanna be. Money certainly talks loudest, but fit is also a real issue with some. I want dudes who wanna be a Husker, first and foremost. GBR Always.

Brice and Juwan are both unique, in that, they can easily transition into multiple roles.  Ideally, Brice can line up as the SG and Juwan as the 3.
The good news is that with the positionless "5-out" offense and non-traditional defense, all the players brought in so far, can play all over the court.
My concern right now is securing two additional bigs.  The bonus would be if they have that inside/outside ability.
Coach Rhule loves to talk about training the football team so that they can play in the NFL.
Similarly, Fred's style fits the big man mantra that seems to permeate the NBA.  Meaning, the traditional post player has been left in the bygone era.  Come to Nebraska and we will hone both your outside and inside game.

I wouldn’t totally dismiss this idea.  We need to get AAU Certification and we need to start winning in Football. In this day and age of realignment one cannot be certain of security.

Pleasantly surprised by the rebounding rates from Essigian over the last couple of years. Will easily be a plus over Keisei or CJ in that department.  Not entirely sure what Griffiths brings in that department because of how dominant Cliff was there.

It's interesting we have picked up two transfers from the conference, and lost one to another conference school.  With the B1G now at 18 teams, it doesn't seem to be a big deal to lose a player to another conference school.  That is unless you're Rutgers.  Many of their fans are bitter Griffiths came to Nebraska. 
 
Essegian will thrive here, just like Griffiths.  GBR!

Nebraska lands their fourth commit out of the transfer portal with the verbal commit of Wisconsin transfer Connor Essegian.  The Indiana native, known for his 3pt shooting, has two years of eligibility remaining.

It probably also helps too that you can go back and see that Fred truly does play the hot hand.  So coming off the bench doesn't automatically assume you're getting less than starters minutes.  How many times did JLaw play a ton of minutes off the bench late or how many times did KT ride the bench on his off nights for extended periods of time.
 
I think Fred does a really good job of not getting caught up in how many minutes a guy has or hasn't played and rides who is hot more often than not.
