  1. Yeah. I suppose most of his warts had to do with defense and strength. Sort of lacked quickness as well. But shoot, he was young and growing into his body. Which makes this one a bit tough.
  2. Bummed that we aren't rated...but KSU is. Perhaps if we can beat them, it will provide a little proof in the puddin.
  3. I read somewhere that her words were not at the ref, rather, it was at the Iowa State bench. Not that makes it better or right.
  4. Likely answers questions some may have had about her game minutes.
  5. Too bad. I thought she was a good role player. I wish her good luck moving forward. Now, let's go find a big in the portal.
  6. You will notice that the video is a compilation of various practices and/or segments. I am the guy that loved this guy and thought that he would be a dude for us. There was a reason he didn't play. Plus if you watched any of the pre game warm ups this year, you would have come away unimpressed by his shot. Just saying... Again, I wish him all the success possible at his next stop.
  7. Ramel and JaMarcus came in the same recruiting class. Who had the most publicity? Who had the most game?
  8. Allison is a tough s.o.b. she will add toughness for sure. That said, I'm not sure where we place expectations. Two major knee surgeries are tough on anyone; but especially tough on an athlete. My expectation will not be high, as that is unfair to her. If anyone can thrive post two surgeries, it is her though.
  9. In my humble opinion, those players that may move on will likely go pro versus transfer. Much may depend on future opportunities.
  10. Never let good get in the way of greatness. We now must improve exponentially. That said, it is fair to say expectations for this year were met and or exceeded.
  11. I'm shocked...not. good luck young man.
  12. And don't forget Amiah... Hargrove, a 6-2 wing at Christopher High School in Illinois, averaged 24.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists , 2.2 steals and 1.3 blocks while hitting 62.8 percent of her shots from the field and 85 percent of her free throws as a junior in 2022-23.
  13. While watching Clemson beat Baylor, I can't help but notice that Baylor seems much more athletic than Clemson. But...again, Clemson is currently leading.
  14. Maggie was a top recruit coming in, her primary focus was obviously volleyball and thus, her development stalled. She then quit the team/program leaving our depth lacking. In my humble opinion, her absence affected our depth and possibly the outcome of some of our games.
  15. I personally like good basketball. It is not a gender thing. It is a quality thing. We were blessed this year with both our teams playing quality basketball. But for our ladies having to travel to Corvallis and play Oregon State on the road in front of their fans does not seem fair or does not bode well for parity. If the game was played on a neutral floor, would we have stood a better chance of winning?
  16. Ummm, I'm not convinced that is perfect fit. Then again, he probably is polar opposite of Huggy Bear.
  17. I have said this over and over again; talent is highly overrated IF high character and work ethic doesn't come with it. Nebraskans insist on the latter two. Alonzo Verge was much more athletic than Sam Griesel. Who would you rather have on our team? So I am definitely not discounting the need to become stronger, longer and more athletic. But it has to be the right fit in order to make sure this program continues to move forward.
  18. Loved watching Jaz play. She is a great ambassador for the game and the university.
  19. Caitlin Clark just declared that the women's NCAA games are more popular than the men's games. Pretty sure I don't agree with that declaration, but it may very well be true about some teams. But you won't have equality in the women's game until you bring about a bit more parity. Part of that is playing these games at neutral sites. Seriously, over the last fifteen years, only three or four teams have a chance to win it all. There are very few "upsets" in the tournament. You simply have to go to neutral site games and hope the excitement of the game continues to build a larger fan base.
  20. We had Maggie, or so we thought we did. I agree another big is a necessity. Of course there are likely a hundred teams out there looking for the same thing.
