  1. Has anyone heard the outcome of the investigation into his single car fatality accident?
  2. Probably a six game suspension based on what I have heard about their AD.
  3. I have a sneaky suspicion that we will have no clue what our line up will look like until summer rolls around.
  4. Sort of interesting that Frankie qas taking his unofficial visit to Lincoln today and Fred is out of town. Perhaps their paths crossed at some point.
  5. I expected CJ to depart. He is a good man and worked hard while at Nebraska. I wish him nothing but the best. He helped turn our culture around! That said, every time he put the ball on the floor, attempting to drive to the basket, gave me a near death experience. Again, thank you for being a Husker CJ.
  6. Did not hear that. Hope and pray she will recover.
  7. Cool, thanks. Glad that is set in stone. In fact, I was even wondering if she was following the Sam Hoiberg route as a walk on with a supplemental NIL deal. Good for her!
  8. What is sort of different with our PG discussion is that we really don't have a pure PG position. That may be by accident, but nonetheless, we haven't had a true point guard for the past three seasons. Whether it is truth or fiction, we seem to run a positionless offense. We may have a primary ball-handler; but I'm not really sure if that is true. Our offense seems to flow through different players in different positions at different times. So should the discussion be can a player adjust to Fred's offense/defense/transition game, or not? I think both of our incoming players are "flex" players. They can score and guard all three levels. We do need a couple more bigs though...and shooters.
  9. He is sort of fragile given his medical history; but you know what, I would take him.
  10. I go back to my post which was the genesis of this current discussion. I have no clue as to the accuracy of the information. It came to me, and I simply shared it with all my besties. The chances are remote at best; but the message was that he wanted to keep any and all options open. That seems like exceptional planning on his part.
  11. LOL...I believe you may be referencing Bangot Dak. He played at Lincoln Southeast.
  12. ...and lest we forget, we seem to have a good pulse on the foreign market of players. There is a chance we are in play for a player or two
  13. I respectfully disagree. A major theme at the press conference dealt with NIL, 1890 Initiative (Peed) and the retention of players/coaches/administrators. Where does the money come from? Sure you and I may dump 10K into the coffers; but the majority comes from the "old blue-hairs." Their generosity and love of this university is our life-blood. Without them, and the opinions they have a right to provide, will always play a major role in our decision process. I visited with an "old blue hair" several years ago that was a significant donor. He was told by a certain ex-AD that he could no longer earmark where his donations could go within the athletic department. Well, the donor fixed that by stopping his donations. My point, is that if you are going to "donate" a million dollars, then you will earn the right to help set the tone.
  14. updated penalty guidelines for student-athletes who'd been caught gambling on college sports. "Effective immediately, reinstatement guidelines for student-athletes who wager on teams at their school — excluding their own team — will start at requiring one season of ineligibility and a loss of one year of eligibility," read a decision from the Division I Council Coordination Committee.
  15. An interesting read. https://www.1890nebraska.com/list-of-athletes/
  16. How many of our entrants are leaving on their own, or are they being nudged? I am guessing all, or nearly all of them have been nudged.
  17. Nothing ever is a sure deal. I do worry that we get the right dudes to come here. A lot of teams with a lot of needs out there. Bottom line, in Fred we trust.
  18. When we first recruited Eli I believe he was in the 6'5 neighborhood. He had a growth spurt soon thereafter.
  19. Brooks Wells and Kip Kissinger. Two Nebraskans on the list.
  20. LOL...trying to go by memory stinks as you age. Nightmares of Eddie Hightower dancing in my head. Glad I was able to throw gasoline on whoopdeedoo's straightforward question!!!
  21. So to whoopdeedoo...I apologize for adding to the confusion.
