  1. Unreal size! I don't care who the dude is next to him, the player looks small in comparison. He is kind of like the Russian dude in the Rocky movie.
  2. Miles did mention Isaiah in his post game interview. Needless to say, Isaiah is now the player on the "hot" seat whereby his practices et al will dictate playing time. I said this in an earlier thread, I believe Isaiah has a boatload of talent and is going to be a great one. But at this moment, his inability to play physical and his reluctance in taking his shots and the appearance of a lack of confidence all are working against him.
  3. Think about this for just a minute, we defeated a top 20 team despite subpar offensive games from Tai, Glynn and Evan; and without Ed.
  4. I came to the game nearly recovered from the flu, bronchitis and sinus infection. Feeling pretty good, voice back, stopped coughing, overall, much better. I left the game, coughing, not able to talk and feeling great, but like crap. Does that make any sense.
  5. Thanks for asking the question. I am wondering who was in the house as well!
  6. We played an aggressive, tough ass game today. Man, that was fun to watch! Players stepped up big time. - Honestly the only player who struggled was Isaiah. - Jordy played well and seemed to have the light come on offensively in the second half. - MJ was puking all over the place, had to have an IV at half time, but his offensive/defensive spurt towards the end was invaluable. - Tai ran his well dry today. Great effort. - Glynn had his quickness matched today. He also fell down again and picked up a foul in the process, but overall great effort and game. - Need a bit more offense out of Evan, but he played really well on defense. - Jeriah, welcome back young man. Good defense. We were switching today and that seemed to help him. His offense...EXCELLENT! - Jack, wow! And I am talking about his defense. His offense was pretty darn good as well. Point is, this was a great team win. If we review the thread regarding offense, this is what I was talking about. We drive to the rim and kick it to an open man, and today, those shots were hit. It makes a difference. I am so glad we are back in the win column. Back in the top half of the league as well.
  7. I was going to say...his offensive game was awesome, but his defense was excellent. Jack played the PF position today and he manned up. He stuck his nose into the action and created a match up problem on the offensive side. Great job Jack (and Jeriah).
  8. Heard he was a game time decision today...that tells me he is close.
  9. I am heading to the game. Not sure we can beat these guys, but I sure the heck hope that we can get it done!!!
  10. Sure, you shut him down IF he is hurt. If he is healthy, I am confused as to why you wouldn't play him?
  11. Obviously easier said then done. Again, every offense looks good when players are hitting shots and every offense looks bad when players are missing shots. Another thing that bothers me is when analysts say someone is defending well, when in reality, open looks are being missed.
  12. There is nothing wrong with our offense. The issue is with players making plays. They are in position to make an open shot, or make a bunny or make their free throws. I am not going to throw anyone under the wheels of the bus, but, an offense (our offense) will look so much better when plays are executed as expected.
  13. Will they be available next game, or will they have to forfeit?
  14. Next day thoughts bring me to a point of frustration once again. We seemed to have had a good game plan going in. Surprise them with a zone, but it didn't work, so we swiftly came back to a man-to-man and crawled back into the game. Defensive effort was good, but when MJ came off him to provide help defense, we got burned on the back end. Our offense was bad, but it wasn't due to the concept, it was with finishing off the plays. We (once again) were not getting calls when Tai or Glynn were "brushed up" around the basket, or when MJ attempted to put back shots. Everyone seemed to be short on their shots, and we missed too many open looks. And lastly, once again our free throw shooting was spotty, at best. Do we miss Ed? Absolutely. But for us to move from a middle of the road team, to a top level team, we need to step up.
  15. The fact that Mr. Horne rode the bench all night...perhaps he will exit, stage left. I would really hate if that were to happen.
  16. I am at a loss...we simply did not play very well tonight. Missing a contested shot is understandable, but missing numerous open looks and free throws...not acceptable.
