  1. If he only knew how good he is!
  2. It just shows the other teams are using their money more effectively.
  3. How in the world was that not a foul on Wagner? But, it was a foul on Lat?
  4. This game does give me hope for more than 3 wins. We D'd up pretty well. If we can bring out that effort every game, eventually were going to have a few games where we actually make shots. Really, the stats are pretty even outside of their 2 point shooting and free throw shooting. They were 14 - 29 (48.3 %) from inside the arc. We were 10 - 27 (37.0 %) inside the arc. They were 15 - 15 (100 %) from the line. We were 9 - 17 (52.9 %) We got outrebounded by 9, but were even on the offensive boards. Allen has to learn to stay out of foul trouble. Hard to do against the biggest floppers in the history of basketball. How they don't even get a flop warning is beyond me. The game turned on the flop by Trice. Wisconsin does the same thing on the other end and gets the bucket and the foul. A 5 point swing.
  5. Not going to win any games except maybe against Doane, shooting 29.8 % from the floor, 22.7 % from 3, and 52.9 % from the free throw line.
  6. Did Allen foul out? Have to bring him back if he is still available.
  7. When we aren't giving the ball to the other team or committing penalties, we actually are a pretty good team.
  8. Martinez is actually playing a good game when he doesn't drop the football, or throw to a double covered receiver in the end zone. Really, really, really need to learn to hold on to the football. This team is so frustrating. Great drive, and give up a kick off return for a TD. Get a stop, and allow a punter to run 20 yards. A 4th and 1 and allow a 30 yard TD. Why can't we have nice things?
  9. We cannot have any feet left because we shoot ourselves in the foot. I do want to know what the opposing offensive line has to do to get a holding penalty? Twice a Rutgers player grabs a Nebraska player's jersey or arm.
  10. Same song different verse. Turnover, turnover, penalty filled drives so far. We are beyond pathetic. But, don't worry, Frost will be looking for his 1st bowl appearance 10 years from now.
  11. I did just see that. Which is still good for us, but I assumed his scholarship would not count against our numbers, like all the other sports. It probably will count since he is a transfer.
  12. Another benefit of Lakes being eligible is it gets us back to even next year for scholarships without asking someone to leave. Although, there will be a very high probability one or more players leave, anyway.
  13. We are beyond lousy in one score games (8 pts spread) 2018 1 - 5 Win MSU TO battle even Losses CU -3 TO Troy -1 NW -1 OSU +2 Iowa -1 2019 2 - 4 Wins Ill -3 NW +1 Losses CU -1 Ind -1 Pur +1 Iowa even 2020 1 - 2 Win PSU +1 Losses NW even Iowa -1 Total 4 - 11 2 - 2 when we win TO battle 1 - 7 when we lose TO battle 1 - 2 when we push It's that simple keep the ball and/or take it away and you win games. Give the team the ball and you lose games. We need improvement on the OL, we need WR's to get open, we need to make Mills a workhorse, and we need a QB to get the ball to the WR's when they are open. If the offense gets right, I can live with the defense giving up 24 points or less. I think we have young talent all over the field. Jurgens is a real good blocker, snapping could use some work. Barnhart might be good, but was owned on two extremely important plays. Piper was called for a bogus holding call on Martinez's TD run. Betts has looked really impressive. Robinson is an All Big 10 player right now. Martinez needs to get the deep throw back. That would make this offense much better.
  14. He also had us an OT loss to Wisconsin from a division title. Frost had us a last second field goal from a bowl game.
  15. I have less hope for Frost than I did for Riley.
  16. This is going to be a long year. We have no half court offense. Big Ten teams are going to get back on defense, and we are going to struggle mightly.
