I am going to guess Kansas in 88 is the only time. I looked up national Champs that came from the Big 6, 7, 8, 12, and 10. Not many teams from those conferences won championships. I actually wish it wasn't outlawed in the Majors. I think hitters need to go the other way. It is tougher to make it effective in college. Pitchers in college are just trying to throw strikes. They are not worried about pitching it to a place where the hitters are going to pull the ball. Hitters are trying to put the ball in play.

Really couldn't go wrong in your choice. Now, it appears we have 2 spots. My 2nd choice would be rim protector.
