  1. I really like this guy. Great touch around the rim with some nice hooks. Then stepped out and him some outside jumpers, one off the dribble. His last dunk was pretty sweet. For a kid going into his senior year of high school he has great size, and I really hope he commits to Nebraska. It sounds like he is really happy to have a Nebraska offer. He is rated as #125 overall player on rivals. Hope he commits.
  2. I'd be all for this. I drive down from Omaha and I am lucky if I hear Tim Miles full post game interview. It's odd that Husker Sports Network has a hour long pregame show (which is great driving down from Omaha), but their post game show seems like it is less than twenty minutes.
  3. Most schools, actually. Iowa is putting together a pretty good looking class, and from what I understand so is Northwestern. (Northwestern!) Maryland is bringing what I understand to be a top 25 class in as well. Also keep in mind that Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, and Minnesota really underperformed this year and will be looking to have greatly improved seasons in 2014-15. Finally, our schedule is going to pick up in difficulty next year, so we're going to have to work hard to match (or improve on) this year's record. So, 49r, where do you think we'll be when Kenpom comes out with his pre-season rankings this fall? Top 50, I'd imagine. We return what? 95%-98% of our scoring from this year? Gallegos averages 7 ppg & the team ~68... so 2014-15 scoring will be closer to 90% returning. It actually will be closer to 75 % when you factor in Biggs departure which his computer will still count in the final stats.
  4. I don't think the question was really out of line either. I'm guessing at the pre NCAA Tournament press conference that will be one of the first questions that will be asked to Miles.
  5. We need to become Iowa State and Kansas State fans this week. They both play OSU and Baylor this week. If, ISU and KSU can sweep (each play 1 on road and 1 at home), OSU and Baylor would both be 7-11 in conference. I don't think you could justify putting a team in that is 7-11 in conference in the Tourney. Personally, I think a .500 record should be required, but its not so if they get to 8-10 they are probably in, but at 7-11 they would be on the bubble.
  6. I think 20 wins gets us in with no doubt, and probably gets us out of the First Four. 19 gets us in the conversation and especially if we beat Wisconsin probably gets us in unless crazy things happen in the conference tournaments (like WSU losing in MVC Tourney) or some other bubble teams go crazy the next week.
  7. Possible, but it's not Neb vs Minnesota, is Neb vs the rest of the bubble teams. Dave will disagree, but conference affiliation has no influence on how teams are picked. Not Dave but if conference affiliation doesn't matter then why isn't every team given a code for the selection committee that doesn't have their name and just has their RPI, record, etc.?
  8. I know the committee says that conference affiliation has nothing to do with selections, but I would guess Jim Delaney would throw a fit if the B1G which has a conference RPI of second, only gets 5 teams in. Maybe since it will be Nebraska, they won't be as outspoken, but I would think they will be campaigning for at least 6 based on the conference RPI rank.
  9. Why is that? I posted our resume with theirs and its almost identical. Too bad Miles dad didn't win a national championship recently.
  10. On cbssportsline they have a team comparison. .so its beee interesting comparing other teams to Nebraska. Take Minnesota. .we both have 3 road/neutral wins, we have 5 top 100 wins to their 4...we have a better conference record..we have been hotter than them and we beat them. They have a better RPI than us. .but everything else points to our resume being stronger yet they are a ten seed and we are barely on the bubble. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
  11. He ripped the officials too which was funny. Fouls were 7-0 and 10-2 and that non over the back may have been the worst call of the year. He also talked about their injuries which is fine but implied if Dawson played then pitchford wouldn't have hit his 3s.
  12. That was a great win and now we put ourselves in good position down the stretch. We owe both these teams after we blew both games on the road. Everybody talks about the PSU game and rightfully so, but @ Purdue we had a 3 point lead with under 7 to go and didn't make a field goal until the game was all but over with 10 seconds left. Today was a HUGE step forward, and we need to keep up the momentum by going 2-0 this week.
  13. Not sure where he said this but how sweet would it be if we are 9-8 going into the Wisconsin game with a win and your in vibe going into the game. Also, a lot if people talk about the Michigan and Penn State game but don't forget against Purdue, we were up 3 with under 7 to go before we didn't make a basket for over 6 minutes. What could have been. ...Need to just keep looking forward.
  14. Sergei is Tim's recruit. Benny and Shavon are Doc's recruits along with David and Rey obviously.
  15. I was wondering about Markowski. He was really good on the radio. There are fewer games Matt misses in the B1G because he doesn't do TV though.
  16. Who would the third official visit be? I would assume the other two are Trey Dickerson and Deng Deng.
