Glad our D plays hard every game.

I still like having Rutgers at home though. They are a team that thrives on the home crowd and if you watch they show a lot of emotion during the game. teams like that don’t seem to play as well away from home though.. just my $.02

Illinois is that over aggressive team that comes at you in waves and dares the officials to make calls. They never will call it twice in a half let alone back to back possessions. it is not too bad of a way to play, bend the rules and dare anybody to challenge you more than once.

Prediction of the year or at least the game.

Like Husker Papa said after the T.. we never got a call the rest of the night. I really don’t like how some of the old guard of this league get away with such a high level of theatrics against officials without repercussions. Never a second T, never told to get off the court or stay in their box. Sigh

That seems to be how the Big is officiated. Just play like you want, hit, grab, push, just dare the refs to call something,. Then when they do, raise Holy Hell at the officials and let the crowd also intimidate the other team and ref the rest of the night. I think how they call the game in this league has really hurt our teams in the post season. You try the things that they let the players do during the last what 20 games and then different crew says nope… calls everything and suddenly we (Big 10 teams) can’t change.

Second half from Wisconsin game and first half today we are forcing other teams to play like us and are trying to stop what we want to do. Make other teams play our style of game rather than the other way around. So far we are the bad match up for Illinois.

I have picked her rendition of “I’ll Fly Away” to be played at my funeral. I think her voice sounds like the ringing of a bell it is perfect to me.
