He used to be my son's back yard neighbor. He never used to wear socks with dress shoes before it became a fashion. Scott Spinelli - University of Nebraska - Official Athletics Website (huskers.com)

Well, is he "N" or not? we seem to be the only site saying this so far.

Few will remember that this song played in a scene in "The Exorcist". RIP Little Dickie. Actually, it is an appropriate song for many of the guys who enter the portal now.

I thought the reference was to Hieronymus Bosch or Halle Berry before remembering the legendary HHC presence, HB.

Final thought: Last night's game was a dud and Purdue is done unless they find another 7'4" guy. I'm already feeling enthusiastic for the next season after a couple of more transfer coups occur. The groundwork for continued success has been established and no one is going to overlook us this time.

I'll choose door #4.

Yes....our first mullet!

I'm surprised that Cali lasted as long as he did. After Adolph Rupp, Kentucky has managed to turn over great coaches like used roadkill. 1. Joe B. Hall 2.Eddie Sutton 3. Rick Pitino 4. Tubby Smith 5. Billy Gillispie.

Who is this Schaefer of whom you speak? Just wondering.

If he had hit that last long three (which barely missed), it would have been a fitting capstone to his collegiate career. The announcers implied that no one was invited to play in the game (which was otherwise a bit boring) unless they would not be playing in college next year. So, I strongly doubt we will see Tominaga's uniform used at NU again unless we decide to elevate it to the others which have been retired to the rafters.

First, the candidates must pass the "Pig Sooooie" test.

What can you say. Tominaga rules. Looking forward to seeing what he does tonight.

247 sports portal rankings:
1. Johnell Davis (Fla Atl)
2. AJ Storr
3. Tucker Devries
27. Saint Thomas
28. Tarris Reed
30. Omaha Biliew
36. Frankie Fidler
37. Tony Perkins
Morgan was not in the top 75 (so he must be pretty good giving how these ratings usually work out)
Belmont had 2 in the top 20
Where is Kyle ranked?

KU lands Zeke Mayo from South Dakota State. (He is from Lawrence). Hopefully his teammate, Kyle, will be closer to home as well when he comes to Lincoln.

I think the portal behaves like a black hole and no one ever returns, but can anyone ever change their mind later like with the faux NBA entry thing? Just wondering.

Here is a more complete evaluation
The evaluation of him wasn't wrong, and Omaha certainly isn't lacking effort... but sometimes a player that looks primed to make huge strides in reality may be closer to their ceiling than expected. Xavier Foster is a prime example - over 3 full seasons of playing time, he scored a combined 32 pts in his career.
Omaha is a great kid, Iowa State gave him every opportunity and support possible, he maximized his effort... but unfortunately he just didn't continue to see progress towards what you'd like to see in a contributor. He was a unique 5-star because of his athleticism and defense (at the HS level) and hope that he could develop some sort of offensive game at a high-level caliber - or at least net positive. Unfortunately that hasn't happened. This is best for both sides.
From Premium Posts:
I would be fairly shocked if Omaha is back. He hasn’t developed in practice as much as he needed to (actually very little) and he knows even with a ton of effort he’s still only going to get to what you like to see in a true freshman with 8 mins a game max. His hands aren’t getting any softer, he’s still too slow on defense in practice and his offensive game, which was almost non existent for a Big 12 level player coming in and the thing everybody knew he needed to pray got better, has not developed much at all. He gives a ton of effort, but between his handlers and reality, I don’t see him staying.
Some guys show massive 5 star potential, but unfortunately sometimes reality ends up being a much different outcome.
This makes him sound a lot more like a clone of Diop. Not sure we need another project for next year.

Could be something, or could be nothing. But all of the staff members, Howard, loesner, Tommy, and Luca, have gotten a follow from Bryce Pope recently. (highlights linked below). I like the idea of the fit, but we'll see. Might be something to pay attention to.
I don't see how we can go wrong with a Pope following us on Easter.

We will never be able to go back to pretending these athletes are amateurs and eventually some system will be worked out. Perhaps some sort of division grouping the institutions able to "spend big" and ones with smaller budgets with a final tournament which includes a few of the smaller budget schools might work sort of like football now does. Who knows-we just have to compete in the present system until that happens.

Xavier actually practiced in the Pius gym the day before their game. They were not too popular at BDSC when they entered.
