Thanks for the contest.  I was fortunate to win it last year and come in second this year.  It was a lot of fun and am looking forward to next year if the Lord gives me another year.  i will be turning 80 in June so obviously my days are numbered.  Thanks again,  I love to compete since I coached at Lefler Middle School.  Since i now live in Wichita I am unable to get to Husker games but I do keep up with all the responses on the Forum.

The 3 point shooting has been good but until we get our post players to score more than 2 points a game we will not fare well against good competition.

I want to thank you for this contest. I am a 78 year old living in Wichita, Kansas and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this.  I tried keeping up with the stats so I know how much work this was for you.  I hope you continue to do this next year.  I lived  in Lincoln and taught school at Millard Lefler.  I am a dyed in the wool Cornhusker.

Husker4Life got a reaction from Norm Peterson in Andrew White Transfering
I may be the only one that feels this way, but I hope we would all get over Andrew. He made the decision on his own no longer be a part of our program. I, for one, really do not care where he goes. We should be more concerned over who we have left and want to be a part of Nebraska basketball. We have a lot of talent and the emphasis should be on them. I will no longer read any articles about White. HE IS Gone!!! Let it rest!

Did our team play in the first half?  Did we not burn the nets for 21 points?

Husker4Life got a reaction from Wayne Pesek in We'll probably lose when......
This will probably seem too harsh for the kool-aid drinkers on this board but I have to get this off of my chest.  When the 6'10' forward and the 6'4" starting point guard combine for 1 field goal and the 6'9" center scores 1 point you are in big trouble.  The only good thing, and I am not sure that is true, is Petteway WILL be back next year.  He had enough turn overs to feed the entire town of Lincoln.  He is not pro material, at least not now.  We also obviously have no depth as well.  Fuller and Hammond remained on the bench through out this fiasco.  Those of you that predicted a blow out over Creighton better beware of not only Creighton by UNO.  If we play no better than last night, we will lose both.  This team right now reminds me of another team that played yesterday morning.  We ha.no one in charge.  I consider Rhode Island at best a  mediocre team in their league and yet we got embarrassed by them.  I hope we have a 180 degree turnabout.  I just see so many  deficiencies it is hard to imagine what will happen when we play someone good.

In my opinion, Munnings is a much better player than Pinder.  I have seen them both.

Husker4Life got a reaction from Cell in 2016 F Keanu Pinder JC -> Arizona
I really was not impressed with Keanu.  He did get elbowed above the eye and this kept him from playing a lot.  He scored 5 points including only 1 out of 4 from the line.  He did rebound fairly well but like last year he did not start for Hutchinson.  The format was that the prep team from Sunrise played the Hutchinson J.C. for 20 minutes.  Then the Elite team, the best high school team, played them for 20 minutes.  After that the prep team played them for an additional 10 minutes and the scrimmage finished with the Elite team playing them for 10 minutes.  The Prep team from Sunrise outscored Hutch 41-40 while the Elite team was outscored 39-35.  Sunrise is again loaded with many D1 potential players.  There were coaches there from all over the country.  As to Keanu, he is very athletic but so were both teams.  He missed his only perimeter shot quite badly.  His two baskets came near the basket.  He got a big ovation with a thunder dunk but it just seems to me that he just doesn't have quite the fire he needs to have.  Hutch is quite good and is usually rated quite high in the Junior College circuit but in my opinion Keanu will have to show more fire and get more involved in the offense or he will not do well at N.U.  There was a coach with a N on his shirt but am not sure if he was from Nebraska or not.  Sunrise had 15 players sign D1 this last year and they are just as good if not better this year.

Husker4Life got a reaction from hhcmatt in 2016 F Keanu Pinder JC -> Arizona
This afternoon at 4:15 I will get my first look at Keanu Pinder.  Hutchinson Junior College is playing both the Elite and Post Graduate teams at Sunrise Christian Academy here in Wichita.  It should be interesting since  Sunrise is said to be loaded again this year.  I am sure there will be a lot of coaches present since a lot of the players for both teams are already committed.  I will let you know how the scrimmage went.  Keanu supposedly has improved a lot  this summer so it will be interesting to me since I saw him play last year.  I hope his shot has improved since I was not very impressed with it last year at Sunrise.  In talking to the head of Sunrise at the last football game, he said Sunrise should be better than last year, a year in which they were 6th in the nation.

The roster for the Maroon team is

     Roman Young 5'10"
    Sebastian Gray 6'5"
    Nathan Bain  6'6"
    Tum Tum Nairn 5'10'
    Travis Munnings 6'7"
    Moataz Hosny 6'9"
    Keanu Pinder 6'8"
    Dusan Kovacevic 6'10"
    Rueben Gurrero 6'10"
    Vasilije Pusica 6'4"
    Dusan Ristic 7'
Gray and Kovacevic play less than Pinder  I saw them play Creating Young Minds and the scoring was Young 9, Bain 11, Nairn 16, Munnings 7, Hosny 2, Pinder 8, Gurrero 12 and Pusica 11.  Ristic was not yet playing at the time.  My impression is that Pinder is athletic but is not aggressive enough for Kyle the coach.  He seems tentative and is not yet fluid in the offense.  He seems to be a step slow not because he is not quick enough but because it looks like he still is learning the offense if you know what I am trying to say.  I talked to Kyle before the season and he told me that Keanu is athletic but will need time to learn to compete at this level.  He will be on the Prep team next year and should get more minutes since the entire Prep team is made up of Seniors.

The roster of the prep team is
    Alex Gorski 6'5"
    Milutin Borojevic 6'
    Zachary Brown 6'7"
    Damien Blagojevic 6'4"
    Rauno Nurger 6'10"
    Marvin Clark 6'7"
    Victor Stevenin 5'10"
    Jany Rahman 6'
    Luka Vermezovic 6'8"
    Bakary Konate 6'11"
    Larry Dennis 6'9"
    Kevin Bryant 6'5"

The scoring against Quakerdale Prep was as follows:

Borojevic14, Brown 10, Blagojevic 7, Nurger10 Clark was out with an injury, Stevenin 2 Vermezovic 12, Konate out with an injury, Dennis 23, Bryant 6

Brown, Nurger, Clark, possibly Vermezovic, Konate, and Dennis are Division 1  possible signees.  I will be watching this prep team and the black team play this weekend against a very good ABCD team 1 and 2 team out of Dallas Texas.  Hopefully Clark and Konate will be playing again.
