  1. Keisei is shooting .444 (28/63) over the past 9 games.
  2. Except Lat never had a season like CJ did last year…
  3. Which is why he got removed from the starting lineup and had his minutes reduced…
  4. Not really. He was really good last year and earned the opportunity to get an extended opportunity this year.
  5. @Norm Peterson can do the geometric analysis here as I can't see if anyone is standing on their tip toes or if their knees are bent, but it looks to me like the American version is taller by a couple inches.
  6. If you want to, you could include the Illinois game since that's the game Gary got hurt. That would drop the record to 6-5.
  7. No it's not. The stat was about the starting 5 of Griesel, Walker, Gary, Manny and CJ, I believe, but really it's about the first four. Griesel didn't play vs. Indiana but did vs. Minnesota. Then Gary got hurt the next game vs. Illinois, so 6-4 is the stat.
  8. Keisei's has been in double figures six of his last seven games and 20+ in 3 of his last 5. CJ, I get it, but he was really good last year and I expect him to bounce back next year. He's fighting it this year for sure, though.
  9. I think CJ will be a big time bounce back candidate. He was so good down the stretch last year that I have a hard time believing he just lost it. Wilhelm will be interesting, too. There's a raw skill set there that I think can be rally good with some continued molding. PG is interesting. It's a huge need. Do they think they have the answer in house with Ramel and Quaran? How do they want to focus their recruiting priorities? Do they go after a portal PG? A senior? A player with more than a year of eligibility? OR do they try to go after a couple of big time difference makers like Keyonte Johnson? It will be interesting to see how it all goes this summer.
  10. I think he'd be eligible as a sophomore and would have to apply for a medical redshirt after his senior year.
  11. I like what I’m seeing from Lawrence. I think we have something there. Dawson is a dogged rebounder. He’s going to be a PITA for a while. I think Wilhelm has some of that in him, too. If either of them ever find any offense…
  12. But this year is the most recent result. If he'd had this year in year one or two then gone backwards, I think I'd feel differently. But instead, he put together a decent team, though it lacked some depth. To me, it feels like the start of something. I'm curious if Trev feels that way, too.
  13. I think that's the debate. And really, the only ones that know that at this point are Trev and Fred. We'll all find out soon enough, at least for next year.
  14. Perhaps, but Fred's also a smart guy and I believe Trev said Fred presented him a plan about how he wanted to adjust. I'll take him at his work on that. But even if Trev did mandate the changes Fred was the one who had to execute it. I'd argue he did until the injuries hit. If he gets another year, he'll have to build on what happned this year. And probably not what the final record will be but what the program looked like in the middle third of the season.
  15. Do we know anything about next year's schedule? Other than a trip to KState and CU in Lincoln? Is there anything in line to replace the B1G/ACC challenge?
  16. If Gary and Manny also stay healthy, I think wed be a really good basketball team. Bubble or better.
  17. Has anyone mentioned Mark Turgeon yet? The assistant on a successful B1G team could be appealing to me. I heard/read someone mention one of the Purdue assistants, maybe it was on here, IDK... Brandon Brantley looks interesting.
  18. What's so great about college sports, or even just sports in general, is that sometimes the irreplaceable players do get replaced. Walker probably doesn't get replaced in exactly the same way as he produces but steps forward from Kieta and Wilhelm could get us close to Walker's production. Both were highly rated players, so the talent should be there for it to happen. I'm not ruling out help in the portal either.
  19. I get it, I'm just saying it doesn't happen very often that a player of his caliber comes in and voluntarily sits.
  20. Not automatically, but it's not often a 4-star recruit redshirts in basketball, so when it does, it raises some alarm bells.
  21. I hadn't seen that, but if that's true, that's pretty crazy. Gives me hope he can do it again this offseason. It's going to be a key development offseason, too, for guys like Dawson, Jamarques, Wilhelm and Blaise. Will need CJ to get back to the form he showed last year and, frankly, I'd like Keisei to stick around during the summer. It'll be a pretty important one for the program.
