Perhaps since he played 4 games at Pitt as a sophomore, the NCAA is waiting until after our fourth game to grant him eligibility as a sophomore. An argument could be made that he has then sat out one year (redshirt year) and will not have lost any eligibility.

No idea if there is an evidence of the NCAA doing this in the past - purely speculation.

When Pete and Roger played at the Super Bowl in 2010 they were "only" 64 and 65.
That seems younger to me now!
I'm a big fan from the 60's on.
God, now I've got to go checkout some homes.

The only thing that is set is that we will lose every tip off. Part of Doc's strategy.

Personally, I thought his end of game management was lacking but all in all a good coach of the fundamentals, X's & O's, and inspiring (threatening at times?) athletes to play with great effort. In today's game though recruiting is an indispensable skill needed to be a head coach at a high level. His inability to bring in players that were equal in ability to most conference opponents was his downfall. You can excel in one part of your job but still have weaknesses in other areas.

Hoiberg got fired from his last coaching job. There will be a honeymoon but if he isn't successful here with the resources given, he will be fired again. When your job is on the line, you don't bring in incompetent people because they are your friends. Our current head coach has acknowledged that defense is not a particular strength. Doc is here to teach defense. No matter what other weaknesses he had as a head coach, Hoiberg hired him because he thought Doc excels at that aspect of coaching. Liking your  co-workers is a is definitely a benefit, but you don't stay a D-1 head coach if you base your hires off of people you already know and like.

Until we can not only sell out the arena but actually have the seats fully occupied for all B1G games and at least all mid majors and up, we don't need to ruin the atmosphere by putting in a couple thousand more of the least occupied seats.
Leave it as it is unless we can consistently sell and occupy the current 300 level seats for perhaps 3 to 5 years.
If we do that, it means we have had success. Perhaps then and it will be time to expand.
Before that time, we should strive to make Husker PBA games a very tough ticket.
