  1. No, he's referencing all of the dumb political crap in this thread
  2. I wondered how motivated Nebraska would be and they very much were Nebraska was a three man offense tonight. Palmer, Roby, and Watson end up attempting 45 of our 52 shot attempts (87%), and 28 of our 32 FT attempts (88%) Palmer got off to a slow start but carried the team most of the second half. His 34 points were one short of the B1G tourney record Roby didn't have it tonight offensively but block/altered a lot of shots. He's really one of the elite shot blockers in the conference. Watson also didn't have it shooting but led the team in assists (5) and like Palmer played all 40 minutes. Roby played 39 sitting for that minute with the ankle sprain Tanner was solid as usual and 2nd on the team with 3 steals (we had 12 total) Brady had a couple of nice buckets but was targeted when on the court by Rutgers Thorir played some solid minutes Am I forgetting someone? Ah, Johnathan Trueblood. Led the team in steals with 4 had a nifty move for a bucket, finally hit a FT and most importantly seems to be the vocal guy on the court that we've been missing. I think we'd very much like the guys who are injured to be playing but it's a testament to JT that after spending his career on the bench he was prepared to contribute like he has. On to Maryland!
  3. It's ok to have this opinion as long as you've never spoken poorly about Benny Parker ?
  4. Did Nebraska mail out anything for NIT tickets? We've got to be on the bubble or in there.
  5. Not to be morbid but seems like they would wait until the day after whenever our loss occurs to fire Miles if that is the course of action.
  6. Nebraska Cornhuskers (16-15) vs Rutgers Scarlet Knights (14-16) **B1G Tourney** Date: Wednesday, Mar 13, 2019 Time: 5:30 p.m. Arena: United Center Broadcast: BTN Courtesy of husker hoops twitter Rutgers Info Head Coach: Steve Pikiell Location: Piscataway, NJ Conference: B1G Nickname: Scarlet Knights Last time out: Lost to Northwestern Conference Record: 7-13 Typical Rotation Depth: 9 Line: Nebraska by 2 KenPom explains the roster PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 0 Geo Baker 6-4 180 So 23 Montez Mathis 6-4 200 Fr 24 Ron Harper 6-6 230 Fr 5 Eugene Omoruyi 6-7 240 Jr 2 Shaquille Doorson 7-0 275 Sr 17.2 Rutgers doesn't have a player under 6'4" Eugene Omoruyi is Rutgers' goto player. He's been pretty inefficient in league play especially since his 3pt shot isn't dropping Doorson is efficient with the ball and a terrific rebounder but isn't an overly aggressive scorer and is turnover prone. Shotblocker but foul prone. A career 34.5% FT shooter! Juco transfer Shaq Carter doesn't have the size of Doorson but is just as efficient and more active offensively. This is the post player that Nebraska needs to worry about the most Ron Harper Jr is defensively challenges shots with his length and his offense has picked up during conference play. Mathis is a highly regarded Palmer type guard out of Maryland that Rutgers beat out a lot of teams to land. Currently a poor shooter from the outside, Mathis is a slasher who excels at drawing contact. Quinnipiac transfer 6'5" SG Peter Kiss was meant to add some scoring punch but has struggled with his shot and is shooting about 30% from outside 6'6" Fr Caleb McConnell is the backup PG with a nice shooting stroke. His minutes have picked up in conference play. 6'10" 255# Myles Johnson is a less effective Doorson though a better FT shooter. Scouting Rutgers Thread The Skinny: Nebraska showed heart vs Iowa but we're talking about a Hawkeye team that plays pretty poor defense, Nebraska playing at home, and Amir Harris being available. On the road Nebraska really hasn't played much defense and the problem here is what exactly is Nebraska playing for? Are they playing for the NIT, which they could conceivably make by winning this game? It seems doubtful because Nebraska hasn't even bothered to mail out ticket applications this year. Do they think they can win 3-5 of these games? If anything, Rutgers is maybe 3 wins away from an NIT bid and even thought they've lost their last two games they've been against two hot teams. Nebraska isn't a hot team. While it should be close and a game that Nebraska very well could win, it seems like there won't be enough rebounding and enough shooting to take this game. Let's hope we live to see another day against Maryland. Prediction: Rutgers 70 - Nebraska 63 View full article

  8. You can have Sam Greisel or Amir Harris. Who are you taking? You can have Tonje next year but you either need to not take Arop or not take a post player. Who are you taking? Mika Adams Woods is the guy PG from the east coast who knows if he works out or not. Who are you taking this year from Nebraska instead? The problem with this shoulda/coulda/woulda on Nebraska kids is that it's easy to sit and cherry pick results without needing to worry about how the roster might fit together. In that regards, anyone still wish Ed Chang had come here?
  9. Seems more like Freshmen Ron Harper and Caleb McConnell were playing better and he got McVey'ed
  10. Season 4, Episode 13 Kell and Sutt preview the Big Ten Tourney.

  12. I don't think this is going to get you on the coaches that you think should be on Nebraska's list if this trend continues
  13. Schools looking to hire Derrin Hansen no longer need to wait until the NCAA tourney
  14. When it comes to Morrow I would believe anything like if he transferred there because he wanted to hang out with Jabari Parker or he really liked going to "The Market" as a child.
  15. Issa Thiam, the 6'10" guy who shoots 3s, got kicked off the team yikes
  16. I"m listening to this right now and it's not Hunter and I don't know who they're talking about. Didn't someone bring up a foreign big man recruit?
  17. I'm a national championship run away from winning this thing!!!!
  18. I forget what the exact quote was but during that Goodman podcast he essentially said that Nebraska should hire Hoiberg if he wants to come here so in a sense we'd have Tim's reluctant blessing in this situation. And really it would make sense for him to sign on early if coming here is what he wants to do because him waiting around for something better would probably end up with him finding that.
