Can he be our Chauncey Billups? You know, the local guy who eschews offers from several blue-blood program and goes to State U., leading them to new levels of success? Please?
I love it, but Chauncey was on another level in high school. Pretty amazing chauncey went to boulder.
Hunter is an uber athletic kid with upside, whereas Chauncey was already a legend at this point in his hs career.

Maybe we should have applied for waivers for Banton and Walker also.
Lack of transparency on the ncaa part. Its like the wild west

2022 is expected to be the first year high school players can be selected in the NBA draft.
Have you read Jonathan Abrams book "Boys Among Men"? It recounts the high school to NBA fad, and what/who worked and who didn't. Its amazing (link to Amazon)
Honestly the NBA is dumb if they go back to 18 years old eligibility. The one and done model gives them a much more refined player no matter how unfair it is

Am i going crazy? I could have sworn he committed stanford already #nelsonmandelaeffect

Looks like a freshman at LNS. Could be a name to watch over the next few years
Retweets Donovan, Roby, and Cam Mack after a quick scroll so he is clearly a Husker fan.
Maybe having a top 100 kid every year from Nebraska is the new norm....?

Never had a shot with this kid

I wonder if UCLA/Lewis will offer
UCLA basketball is in a weird place right now. I think they will see a jump in wins despite losing three big players. I really want Lewis to succeed.

No shame in playing in the AAC. You could argue it is the 5th best basketball conference. Ahead of both the Big East and Pac-12.
Especially when/if uconn gets there sh1t together.

I always like the bearcats basketball program. I hope he does really well

When is steve fisher going to join the staff?

So tech dropped Khalid Thomas for Joel Ntambwe. Pretty good trade of talent for better talent.
Late grab guys like Joel are gold on the transfer market; they have a good season, look into going pro, then transfer to a program that gets players drafted. Chris Beard is definitely building a program

Hey, Creighton once hired Willis Reed and had some modest success. Maybe Michigan will do as well. Might even be able to get the next Benoit Benjamin.
Wow. I never knew that. Can i even like Willis Reed now?

@hhcmatt we have brought in a bunch of sunrise christian ballers through the years. I think derrick is the first player from sunrise who has ended up coming to lincoln (leslie smith?)
They get a ton of carribbean talent at sunrise. I think deandre ayton played there as a freshman and, of course, the great buddy heild. Buddy, who visited here???, looks like he is a real nba player.

I love Roby, and i hope a quality team falls in love with him during individual workouts.
My biggest beef with Roby was missing the first shot of a bunch of critical 1n1s. He missed a one and one against ohio state last year(2017-18) that would have tied the game. If we won that game we would have made the tourney. Also the @Maryland game this year... And 2 others i can think of but who cares.

basically the same measurements as cam reddish who is a SG/SF. i don't see roby being able to guard bigs with those numbers. there's little proof roby can play SF at a high level. i would guess he is a 2nd rounder.
I personally wouldn't take Cam Reddish in the lottery tho...
Roby is different because he is best positioned, and has played, as a strech 4 the last two years. Roby can defend down low, while Cam Reddish was never asked to.

I think/hope we are all sleeping on Dachon Burke atm.

Anyone think that the media was left in the dark on these last couple visits after the washut blunder? Neither Samari Curtis nor Walker were reported to have visited. Just a theory
-
I really like that he has a little back to the basket game because we have none of that right now.

This would be a great year to play Marquette in the gavitt games.

Cool man. I went to regis jesuit and then college at UNL. If it counts for anything, I went to a dance with a GW girl!
My dad's good friend was an assistant for Rudy Carey, so my history of Chauncey was passed on to me by East HS people. They hated GW, but loved to tell chauncey stories
