  1. We can probably guess what that plan is but the question is, how long of a reset is Trev giving Hoiberg? Is this basically year 1? Fred will be owed 11 million if he’s fired this year. Maybe I’m wrong but he’s not going anywhere. We have some decent pieces to build off of next year but he needs to land some home runs down low and at PG next year.
  2. I think Trev brings him back…..but it will take a minor miracle for Fred to get this program even on solid footing. Firing him at the very least restores some hope for the future. I don’t see much of a future under Hoiberg outside of continued losses.
  3. Kudos to Sam. It honestly looks like we would have been much better off giving him CJ’s wasted minutes all year.
  4. I’ll preface this by saying I really like Trev. I don’t have any inside info but I just have a feeling Trev will not be eager to have another major coaching search. I think what has been an obvious philosophy change to be more of a Big Ten type team and injuries will be likely used to bring Hoiberg back. I do hope I’m wrong because I don’t see how Hoiberg turns this bad boy around next year with losing the top players on this team and really the only offensive threats sans Tominaga. And it would surprise nobody if he left to play overseas.
  5. Call me crazy but I would be fine with Sam eating up whatever minutes Wilcher has left in him. I actually like the young guys. But, I’m not sure they are good enough to warrant giving Hoiberg another year. I don’t think there is any chance to turn this dumpster around. Trev might as well rip the bandaid off and find his own guy.
  6. I’m not sure who else should be shooting the ball but apparently Wilcher took his benching as an opportunity to shoot more bricks.
  7. I don’t plan on seeing Nebraska win a NCAA tournament in my lifetime and I’m in my 30’s. So I would say Tim Miles has a much better shot.
  8. What’s the pulse on Hoiberg being retained assuming this season tanks? I will give this team credit in that they play hard. If the last couple Hoiberg teams played defense like this team did we may have had a chance. But, talent wise this is probably the least amount of talent we have had in some time. I can’t imagine Trev is eager for another coaching search. But, even with last night arguably being Hoiberg’s biggest game to date the PBA looked and sounded dead. Stylistically this is probably closer to what Trev wants out of the program. But with losing 3 of our top 4 players I see really no reason to have hope for the future if Hoiberg is retained.
  9. I get that we are a bad FT shooting team but that’s just absolute garbage coaching that you don’t foul under ten there
  10. I have not watched much of Nebrasketball this year so I was surprised to see Wilcher averaging 10 PPG. Has anyone actually witnessed him making a shot?
  11. Not sure we have enough fire power to make up 10 points. Need to hit some shots. Wilcher, like usual…a complete non factor against a tough opponent.
  12. RED STATE! LFG! I wonder how much money could have been won if you parlayed NU football Vs Iowa and NU Vs Creighton?
  13. I have no idea what we are doing defensively. Also, Wilcher is still not good.
  14. I hope you’re right. There is no turning this thing around at this point. On to the next…..again.
