Surprised there's no chit-chat on the NBA playoffs, especially considering the lack of Husker athletics to follow.  Who y'all rooting for?

I've always been a bit of a LeBron fan and Laker hater, so my LeBron fandom is a bit muted this year with him wearing purple and gold.  Now that I live 45 minutes from SLC I've taken a greater interest in the Jazz, who are looking good in their series with the Nuggets.

I'm a huge jazz fan, I grew up in Logan. Where do you reside? I really miss Utah.

  2. Some Nevada players were touched by Utah St. fans running on to the floor after Utah St. beat them. Not sure what touched means in this situation?

I’m an Aggie fan. The Nevada players and coaches are in the wrong. It started with the coaches getting into an argument. The Nevada players then tried to run into the Utah state tunnel to start a fight with the Utah state players. When the truth comes out Nevada will most likely be in some trouble for the poor way they acted and were allowed to act after the game. That video shows the team after they tried to go brawl with the other team. Videos are out there. No proof of anybody touching any players, that is just was is assumed by the media.

  3. Craig Smith.... I’m a huge Aggie fan also, and what he is doing with them this year is amazing. 3 walk-ons playing. 15-5 this year, 38 net ranking. We Might make the tourney. He is so fun to listen to and a great Xs & Os. He will not be in Logan for long. Would be a great hire and already knows Nebraska.

  4. South Dakota’s Craig Smith is the frontrunner at Utah State, source told ESPN. Could be done soon.

We’re hoping the smith rumor is true. Hearing it’s pretty much a done deal. Head and shoulders above the other candidates imo.

  5. So help me understand.   How can you test the nba waters?    I believe  college guys can work out for nba personnel in May without penalty.    How does it work.   Can they enter the draft and see if they get drafted and then come back if they don’t get drafted or if they are drafted low?

No they can’t enter the draft and come back. They can work out with teams and get feed back on what they need to improve on. You can’t hire an agent either and come back.

This should be a reason for a committee.  Metrics and Eye Test = Two totally different things.

When we played Michigan, I was like "Wow, they could really win it all in the Big 10 this year."

I don't say the same thing about Louisville.  This winner of this game will get bounced next game.

    Exactly

  7. A little OT, but It really bothers me they are using the Spalding TF-2000 ball or whatever it is. Why not use the wilson ball that used is in the NCAA tournament? I don't think any big ten team uses that spalding ball during the season. If you have ever shot one of those they have a lot different feel than the Wilson,Nike or even adidas balls. I think this actually plays a huge role. Just my 2 cents

  8. Yeah, they're really good. Both have great length and can shoot the he'll out of the ball. One of the Martin brothers avgs 19, one 13. And one has a really weird curled up jump shot, but it works! Then tonight they had this Stephens guy who shot 6-8 from deep. Both fun teams, I doubt Boise will miss tho unfortunately unless they get upset

I think the Wolfpack could be very dangerous come tourney time. Very good squad in Reno.
