  1. The first of the missed throws was an abnormal look for AW-III as well; that was nasty.
  2. "I also am tiring of our fans' reactions to the officiating. It seems to have become more extreme in the last few years. I suppose nothing like a few bad calls to get any fanbase into a game, but we also seem to be on the extreme end of that spectrum. I think we had a 3 game streak of booing the refs off the court at halftime at one point :)" Again, I am tiring WAY more of the inconsistent calls and double standards to what coaches are allowed to do, then I am of our fans reactions to the officiating.
  3. IMO The Miles technical discussion over the past couple of weeks is way overblown. He is nowhere near approaching any kind of a Bo issue. Or Frank Martin for that matter. Getting on average 2-3 a year with no ejections is not a big deal. Some are gotten on purpose to have a team or player's back. Some are undeserved. And as to the effect of them on a game or the players, or even the refs for that matter, is pretty hard for the average fan to discern. His explanations are good by me.
  4. Not to be a downer, but it doesn't sound like Morrow is anywhere near ready to play.
  5. Probably an easy choice to go to UNL considering his mom is, after all, a Husker legend. OK, Norm. Leave it to you to decipher what I meant, vs. what I typed.
  6. Props to your brother for making the awesome choice of UNL and the city of Lincoln. As you note, great time to be living here.
  7. Makes one wonder how Barry Collier put up with him. I don't think he's thrown a water bottle across the floor, though. True....Barry's one moment as a wild man. I was a witness to that one....
  8. Rachel B has a chance to be an outstanding player for us. Brings some athleticism to the 4. She made some great defensive plays yesterday. A couple of the blocks were classic; total stymies. I have no doubt the offense will come given her determination and work ethic. She will also get stronger. And I love the feisty attitude. The future is bright.
  9. Prior to yesterday, Jasmine had a couple of very nice games. She was very effective against Michigan State. It is interesting to watch the difference between a complimentary role, and when one is running the show. She really struggled yesterday taking on the extra responsibilities. Not her fault as she isn't a natural point and was thrust into the situation. But it does show how what happens out there is more difficult than many an average fan thinks....
  10. You gotta be kidding me. Must be the huge cash prize involved to cause someone to be less than honorable.
  11. Tai seems to get called for travels and carrying more than others. I'm starting to think that refs just don't like us. I swear we do things that usually get called, yet other teams do the EXACT same thing or WORSE and nothing gets called. I believe Nebraska basketball fans screaming at the refs all night for judgment calls probably doesn't help the players/coaches as much as fans think it does. I think it's a case of diminishing returns... A lot of the screaming isn't about a judgment call. It's about inconsistency. That is what is so frustrating. I'm not going to disagree with that notion. That's essentially why Miles got the T. But, you gotta admit, Husker fans go hard-core after the refs. If a lot of the energy gone up in smoke toward angst that Nebrasketball fans expend were used more for uplifting the team, it would be generate better results, IMHO. I believe that refs get tired of the 'home' team expecting to be "rewarded." And I think that the refs are (actually) human. Well, you like them (the refs) better than me. Not only do we not get "rewarded" being the home team, we get a bad whistle. Thad Motta had those guys under his thumb all night. They should be ashamed they didn't have more guts than to stand up to him. They may be human, but that doesn't make them competent. I'm tired of them, don't like 'em, and am going to keep yelling at them. Just so we're clear.
  12. Northwestern Penn State MSU Nebraska OSU Maryland Rutgers
  13. In game 3? Yes, down 7-2 in the bottom of the 8th. More poor baseball--errors, walks, hit batters.

  15. Trying to stay positive but have to admit it is getting difficult.
  16. Then she will fit right in with the culture of her new team
  17. Most of the lines I saw were Huskers minus 10. Something is amiss. EDIT: Never mind. I can't read. Surprisingly, I can't blame the pregame ritual, which I won't start for a couple of hours.
  18. And I like having zero errors. I don't think we'll be a great hitting team, so we will need a lot of pitching and defense. Hope that Schleppenbach is OK.
  19. Jealous. Solid competition and can't beat San Diego.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Rare luck and some decent planning. Have a conference that starts Sunday night. Get in early saturday to catch the saturday afternoon and sunday games. I'll let the wife know after we land that we are going to spend the first 2 days in San Diego at Husker games. Hopefully staying at the Del will help her get over it.
