  1. Wasn’t there a football player back in the early 2000’s named Des Moines? I’m sure he spelled it differently but if I remember right he was a d lineman who had a big game against Iowa state
  2. Top 50 HS recruit. Currently committed to FSU but you gotta think if his brother is having a good time in Lincoln there would a chance. If things go well I’d like to think 2021 is when we start transitioning to recruiting HS players and not just JUCO/transfers
  3. Was I the only one that checked to see if Hoiberg and Adrian Griffin were ever teammates? Looks like they just missed each other in Chicago. Both as players and as coaches
  4. He probably saw his role next year being the Jack McVeigh bench mob captain. Let’s be real, he would’ve done a hell of a job at that job.
  5. No. I don’t see him starting next season. Strike one. He fits Miles’ scheme more than Hoiberg’s. Strike Two. Pride. strike 3.
  6. This is nice to see. I feel bad for Thor, Yvan and Matej. Hope they get the chance to go home.
  7. 99.9% of the time they would applaud Hoiberg for coaching through illness. This is so nuts.
  8. I saw that he is playing ball this summer on the Nike EYBL circuit. Which makes wonder if he is going still planning to reclassify. Of course, I can also see this as a fall back plan and not set in stone that he's going to play summer ball.
  9. I don't know what his summer plans are as far as national team play, but I'm hoping he stays in the states for much of it. (I hope he gets a chance to go home for a bit too cause that's important too.) With our season ending early this year, he's got a lot of time between now and the end of the semester to be in the weight room and gym.
  10. Everything about that day was amazing. The result, the atmosphere, the weather, the women winning the Big 10, Peltz proposing on senior day, KP saying let’s twerk. I’m sure at some point this offseason we’ll compare the 2nd season of the Miles era vs the 2nd season of Hoiberg era. It’ll be hard to top that day, but I hope Fred and company can try soon!
  11. Matt Mooney put up good numbers while on some ok USD teams (had more help than Webster does at WIU) in the Summit League. Transferred to Texas Tech, and helped take them over the top last year. If it’s between him and Whitt I’d take Whitt. But I think he could be a nice piece to next year’s puzzle at guard.
  12. Fred should call up Johnathan F. Trueblood for one more wild ride
  13. In light of recent events I’m more curious than ever to see if: 1. He reclassifies for the 2020 season 2. If our ability to offer playing time can help us land him
  14. How many people will be quoting Ole Moos when he’s asking for donations?
  15. Lat Mayen 81% FT Kobe King 67% FT Teddy Allen 88% FT Derrick Walker 34% FT Shamiel Stevenson 60% FT Dalano Banton 56% FT I don’t know what this means. But all these numbers are better than today.
  16. Good point. Especially considering one of the other schools that appeared in the running was UNLV with Coach Otz
  17. Somewhere Bo Ryan is cursing the good old days where he can dictate where a kid could transfer and if they would be eligible immediately.
  18. I want Sallis N in the worst possible way. My concern is that our coaching staff isn’t giving high school recruits any reason to feel that they are a priority in the program.
  19. If I’m a high school player that’s planning to graduate in 2021. What will my impression be of the Nebraska program if they use all (Or most) of their available scholies on juco and sit-out transfers? I agree our depth for next year looks promising and I have no doubt Fred at Coach A will find some good transfers sitting on someone else’s bench. However, I have concerns if we’ll be able to build long term trust and relationships with high school players and coaches. Especially in this environment where Nebraska high school basketball seems to being going through a bit of a renaissance. We can’t use the excuse that the cupboard is bare in our neck of the woods.
