Agree. Would you identify which posts in this thread are calling for the removal of Amy Williams? "Sure hard to keep you guys happy" or "you guys just like to bitch" type comments are painted with such a broad brush, one doesn't know who they are aimed at. If I post an opinion you don't agree (I'm sure I often do), please reply to me. I'm OK with that.

The forum is designed for opinions. Some are more critical than others. Regarding being critical, the quotes below are yours, just a few games ago. And, I agreed with your posts. "What the hell isn going on with Williams substitutions. I have never seen such bullshit in my life." "This was one of the most ill prepared games that I have seen us play. That's on Amy."

I think Trev is better at his job than Pederson, Eichorst (fired Yori, hired Amy), or Moos. Not sure why you would think Nebraska isn't an attractive job for a top shelf WBB head coach. They play in the B1G. As mentioned above, with the addition of the new schools, they will be among the elite WBB conferences (maybe the best). With a supportive AD and devoted fanbase, the sky is the limit. I'm not seeing anyone posting 'Fire Amy Now'. I'm not advocating fire Amy now. I'm hoping she rises to the challenge. But, if she doesn't, Trev will have options.

I too think competing for B1G championships is doable. Not remotely easy, but possible. If Amy is ever going to rise to the top, the next couple of years is an opportunity. Players like Prince don't happen often. If she can recruit at a higher level, now is the time to show it. If her assistants can 'up' their games, show it. The entire staff needs to take it up a notch. Our athletic department is supposed to be supported by one of the better NIL organizations. Time to show it. OR, maybe middle of the pack, some years a bit higher. is acceptable to Trev and the bulk of the fan base. I haven't a clue. But, I will be cheering them on!
  6. I think the announcers did mention her being under the weather earlier, just now getting back towards 100%. Also, Indiana had a smothering defense. That wasn't by accident. I remember Stewart making one open three, and Indiana called timeout to address it. They were ready for this one.

  8. Not sure I'd go that far, but they do need to get their butts in gear and recruit a post player or two. Or, at least, find some help from the portal. MM was never going to be that player. She was part time from day 1. Back to this game, Indiana is very good. If they play like that against Iowa, we might see Bluder implode. I'll tune in.
  9. Indiana set a team record today. As visiting team, they hit 14 threes. They play Iowa Saturday. That should be interesting.
  10. Potts just doubled teamed her. Homes kicked it out to Scalias who hit the '3'. No answers for them today, the way they are playing.
  11. Holmes and Markowski squared up this half. Bang, bang, Alexis is sitting for awhile. At least Stewart hit a '3'. Maybe that will loosen their defense a bit. Indiana, 12 - 1, looks good. Best in the B1G?
  12. Stats favor AM. But, as mentioned, they are not squaring up on defense. Officials are calling 'traveling' closely. It has resulted in turnovers from each.
  13. Indiana can't possibly keep shooting 3's at this rate, can they? We're not playing bad.

    Mendelson

You've probably read this already. MM is going to Penn State. A bit on the transfer of her and others is below. Mendelson joins rising redshirt sophomore opposite hitter Caroline Jurevicius at Penn State while rising junior outside hitter Hayden Kubik committed to Tennessee earlier this week. Former outside hitter Whitney Lauenstein announced in December that she was transferring to Texas.

No need to be 'sorry'. It is your opinion. My thought, WBB was 2nd fiddle from the get go. Amy had scholarships to spare and had eyes wide open with regards to possible issues with a two sport Division I athlete. She did a 'solid' for coach Cook. Any contribution to the WBB program was gravy. It is what it is. There has been nothing written that would lead me to believe MM was ever dishonest or non-transparent with where her priorities lie. Again, wish her well.

If true, in theory, she might be able to transfer back to Lincoln in a couple years and play some basketball? Not sure if she could possibly play 2 seasons or not. I think the athletes work in a 5 year window. Not probable, but remotely possible? As mentioned by most, I wish her well.
  18. The +/- stat sheet is 27 pages long. If you look through it all, you will see exactly what you mention, score by score. No single page boxscore gives you the detail you mention. That is why you watch the game.
  19. The boxscore stats were questioned, not the person who posted it. Similar to this thread. People are questioning the +/- stats. No problem. I just posted the pdf link. Why would I be offended?
  20. The 1st page reflects game totals. If you want to look stats by quarter, scroll down. Page 14 reflects 3rd quarter stats (not cumulative).
  21. You, or anyone, feel free to post it. It won't upset me. I watched the news, then hit the rack after the game. Just turned the computer on a bit ago.
  22. When KM came in during the 2nd half, it seemed our team defense picked up a bit. Nothing scientific, but it seemed we were more athletic, quicker as a unit. I thought she gave us a nice bump in the short time she played.
  23. +/- boxscore Based on this simple metric, sure looks like the first 5 are a good fit (at least tonight). https://storage.googleapis.com/huskers-com-prod/2024/01/05/b660Qv20Qds8XCHOwFXu7XB2O8QqSi14RHym4OYe.pdf

  25. Looking ahead ..... The Nebraska women’s basketball game with Indiana on Sunday, Jan. 7, will tip at 1 p.m. (CT). The Big Ten Network made the announcement of the tip time late New Year’s Eve, following game time and TV selections for the NFL Week 18 flex picks for the coming weekend. Sunday’s game for the Huskers features Pack PBA along with Alumni Day, recognition of the 10-year anniversary of Nebraska’s 2014 Big Ten Championship Team and the retirement of All-American Jordan Hooper’s No. 35 jersey.
