  1. I hope that's true. It's a dumb rule. However, we are not going to match what Japan is about to offer.
  2. I may end up eating crow on this. Which I wouldn't mind. The rumor mill is in full swing.
  3. I agree with what you’re saying, but the committee has the bracket already set with pairings and seeding by Friday. That’s why they say tourney wins don’t do much for seed adjustments unless there’s last minute bid stealers.
  4. More concerned about passing ability than size. Walker is a great passer as a big and gives us a different dynamic on offense. That dish back to Keisei after Keisei passed it to him mid air was just natural instinct. I rewatched it at work like 10 times. Insanely impressive.
  5. Him ending up at Iowa and inevitably having to play us every year would be poetic lol.
  6. Nova jumped up 10 spots in Kenpom after their Creighton win they’re churning right now. It also doesn’t help that all the committee needed was that UNC win over Virginia to validate them making the field if they hold serve.
  7. Cant wait to show this to my Gopher fan boss. He’s been consistently saying “wait till next year” specifically because of this recruit. He may fire me but worth it.
  8. 8th team out of NCAA tourney. Would be a projected 2 seed in the NIT.
  9. Ya I may also be getting ahead of myself . It's great to pass the time at work though. I'll gladly take getting into the NIT with the opportunity to play a Villanova or North Carolina. Would be awesome given where I thought this season was heading.
  10. I think we need to worry more about the teams that are on the bubble right now with unattainable NET rankings compared to ours than we do our personal NET ranking right now. Penn State, Michigan, and USC (blowing the doors off Colorado in Boulder) were not good outcomes last night. Penn State and USC are in much better position right now. If they win a couple more we aren't passing them. Michigan getting hot is also an issue.
  11. No offense to Jerry Palm, but in regards to bracket accuracy he's one of the worst in the business according to bracketmatrix. I don't even bother looking at Palm's or Lunardi's brackets. 131Sports is one of the best around and it updates daily.
  12. T3 Bracketology has them on the "Almost Flat Bubble" BIG TEN Locks: Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern Should Be In: Rutgers, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State Bubble: Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan Almost Flat Bubble: Nebraska Northwestern moved into lock status from a bubble position after its latest fantastic stretch of basketball. Rutgers, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland and Michigan State all sit in a position where it will take a lot to miss the field, but not a full lock yet. Wisconsin and Penn State remain firmly on the bubble, and Michigan's win over Michigan State pushes them up to the bubble as well, but still out of the field. Nebraska will need to win its next four games, at minimum, to start to have real berth conversations, but the chances are not at 0%.
  13. We go 2-1 we'd have to just win the BTT. We go 3-0 then I think 2 more would definitely get us a look.
  14. Oh I agree. I'd rather good mid-majors that slipped in their conference tourney get in over teams that finished in the bottom half of a power conference every time.
  15. All the Big 12 teams are going to get the benefit of the doubt this year. League is just on another level compared to the rest.
  16. Despite what TRank says, I think 20 wins and they're in, no matter the result in the B1G championship. That's 7 straight wins that would have national attention. 19 we'd be sweating. Maybe a 50/50 chance, but that's more than likely a #1 or #2 NIT seed. That's when you'd hope a North Carolina/Kentucky/Villanova aren't also on the bubble with you. 18 isn't enough.
  17. TRank has them 9th team out if they won their final four regular season games. It has them 1st team out if they went all the way to the B1G championship and lost to Purdue, after winning the last four regular season games.
  18. Washut saying we had Sanogo and Witt, only for both to of them to go somewhere else, still pains me.
  19. They do break down Quad 1 and 2 wins/losses into their own separate tiers as well to try and alleviate that. Not saying it's perfect, but it does help paint a better picture when you get to the record inside the Quads when you're trying to pick between teams.
  20. I think the Quad system makes sense to me. A win on the road should count more towards your resume than a win at home.
  21. Easily Hepburn. But I'd prefer not to have to go find another Hepburn family rant to show why that's not happening haha
