Huskerinkentucky

Really can't claim any info other than the friend-of-a-friend type chatter. Louisville guys really hate UK, and vice versa. What I've heard from the Cardinal guys, he is as streaky as they come. Can shoot you in or out of a game. The only thing I think counts is he really wants to be in Lincoln, as he had a former teammate bad mouthing us from the jump. I'd imagine somewhere close to 40% behind the arc, but not a ton off the dribble. Don't think he will be a huge defensive liability either, although that is a knock on him.

New guy, so take the following for what it's worth. Roby is filthy, if Devin Booker is 6-6, then Roby is 6-10. He look huge, even in a room of other huge kids. He will be a matchup nightmare starting as soon as this fall. His ball handling needs work, but there is absolutely nothing about him that says he cannot do it. That certainly isn't the case with many 6-8 wing types. Shot looks good, nice balance, good rotation. We don't have anyone that gets off the floor like him though, it's pogo stick. First transcendent type player we have had in my adult life in Lincoln.

Not trying to be cryptic. I wasn't allowed to join a message board until after I was gone from the university. Even then they demanded 2 years. In the meantime I have come as close to the line as I can. I scouted a player with Doc Sadler, Anthony Hickey, that we should have gotten. However, my mom works for the state high school athletic assoc., and I probably went too far with him. Doc probably F'that up anyway.

I think my answer to that is 2 months out when my agreement with UK SID is over. Hopefully we will have a huge kid nearly on campus by then.

So many of these guys come through Cal's camps, either as counselors, or as players. His camp in Indianapolis is when I fell in love with Roby. I kept a watchful eye for the last year waiting for UK to offer him, but damn, that kid has always been N. He is hellbent on resurrecting/building a program. Miles can flat out recruit, most of these recruiting guru types have taken notice.

Not a troll, the whole Kelley clan is from Inman. Been stranded in SEC country most of my life, but my mom and Grandpa had the good sense to raise me as a Husker. When I was in college, mid 90s, I'm getting old, I was driving to the Big 8/Big 12 conference tournaments even as UK was tearing it up. I have read these boards for years, but sense the tide is turning against Miles, and that should not happen. I might be wrong on the transfer, but I'm not trying to mislead anyone. Not a Uk transfer. If a UK player transfers after their freshman year, we don't want them.

Will do. In the interim, please, please understand what we have in Roby. Due to Coach Cal being at UK, and that I live in Lexington and quit working for the UK Athletic Department last year, and that these recruiting guys are always around here, I hear and see a lot. I've seen Roby play a ton, and most of the those games he was the kid with the highest upside on the floor. Wasn't bragging with the prior run-on sentence. Just saying I've seen some players, and we've got one.
