  1. Cough cough Gio cough cough… it has to be right?
  2. That support will continue if we win. Unfortunately-- if we start racking up losses (even if they are close) then that support will die off.
  3. After having seen three “top 10 teams” in a week. I can confidently say… one of these things is not like the others. An underperforming Creighton team you say? What’s new? They'll probably still make the Big Dance but man— could you imagine Baylor in this team? Instead he’s playing for an underperforming and disappointing CU team.
  4. After seeing us play on the road against Creighton and IU without Sam, I'm not so sure there isn't a road game that's a "sure" conference loss. We have one more gimme win, a lot of toss ups and a few really tough roadies. I still can't help but wonder what could have been had Walker played at St Johns and against Oklahoma.
  5. I do worry that we'll be back to square 1 next year. That's my biggest concern for an "improvement" year this year. We once again lose our best guard and also lose our best post. We'll probably see a few transfer. It's not like we're a young team with 1-2 seniors who are small contributors and have a core of strong talent that's our bread and butter. Can we BUILD off of a solid year? That's the major question. If this was year 2 I think it's a different story. But it's not. It's year 5. That makes it a lot tougher. With all of that being said-- post season isn't out of the question one bit this year. We need to win a few of the close ones, lock down the vault, and steal a few on the road. 1. Don't play on Wednesday of the Big 10 tournament 2. Make the post season of some kind If we can do the above, Fred is assured another year.
  6. Before the year— some didn’t think Keisei deserved a spot. Before Florida— some thought Keisei needed to “show it” against high major opponents I would say Keisei has more than earned his spot out there. He takes some boneheaded shots at times, but a few of our guys do.
  7. No knock on Creighton— but they were no where near as good as IU and PU I don’t think. Different level. We played very well today! Gotta start winning some of the close ones.
  8. At some point, the losses may mess with the psyche. Hopefully we can win a few and welcome Iowa to town later this month.
  9. Took the guy fouling Sam 3 times before they called something.
  10. What an awful last 5 minutes here... we were tied!!! UGH
  11. I'd be a POY too if I got every call the ref could throw my way. BS foul on Walker there.
  12. It drives me crazy when a shooting foul is called AFTER someone has already gotten the rebound.
  13. Two things.. 1. I wish... just once... we could start off hot when the other team isn't hot. It'd be nice to build a lead for once. 2. I'm the biggest Keisei fan and have always said there is a place for him on this team. However, if my dude takes one more off the dribble long two that is contested... I'm going to go crazy. Three's on the pass. A pump fake one dribble 3. A shot going to the rim. That's his game. His shot just a second ago was low percentage and not a good decision at all.
  14. Good response after a rough start. Remember, we played IU pretty even after the first 4-6 minutes or so.
  15. Andrew Funk-- when we play PSU don't let him shoot against us or he'll put up 30.
  16. PSU is putting a little whooping on Illinois currently. If we'd win today and Illinois would lose... we'd be a game up on them. Big 10 is crazy tough.
  17. Right? Wasn't even a hard foul. Just a common blocking foul. How do you take offense to that?
  18. Could be natural causes, but I’d definitely investigate it a little bit with all that happened over there. Something smells a little fishy.
  19. Imagine beating just the C-Word and Purdue and being able to explain away the loss at IU without a starting PG. Not that we'd be ranked, but we'd definitely turn some heads.
