  1. It'll be guys like Boogie that want a shot at a larger school, and may/may not work out. However, those guys aren’t guaranteed to be the team player Boogie was either.
  2. My thoughts too. Was first game back last night. Also, can’t remember who got the red, but is he out for Saturday or can he play since it’s a different competition?
  3. Was not impressed with Miami last night. They looked… rough. 1st goal conceded was sloppy. But throughout the match there was no drive, no intensity. They remind me of a few of Fred’s first teams. A lot of really cool and really nice puzzle pieces, but they all go to different puzzles and can’t create a nice puzzle together.
  4. Our injuries seemed pretty on par, but the longer duration seemed to affect the back end of the rotation more so than the front end which is why I think it was less noticeable. Keisei missed time to start, Mast missed multiple games. Sure. But the long duration injuries seemed to happen to our backend of the rotation. Rice, Kieta, maybe Ramel if that was an injury.
  5. I don’t know if your joking or not, but there was no sarcasm indicator… so… I believe he’s referring to @HB who vaguely hinted at a talent upgrade.
  6. I love it when Husker players WANT to be here. This article about Sears was a good read. https://omaha.com/sports/huskers/baseball/it-s-go-time-how-brett-sears-went-from-struggling-reliever-to-nebraska-baseball-ace/article_35356d37-15e5-51de-859a-849f5660900d.html He grew up a Husker fan in a Husker household. He knew NU coaches had inquired about him but never reached out directly. So on a cold January day he drove to Lincoln to perform at a team prospect camp. “I said, ‘I’m just going to put myself in front of them and make them recruit me,’” Sears said. “I did well and committed.” Coaches liked the fastball and initially saw him as a reliever. That projection became cloudier as Sears struck out 114 batters and walked just 22 with a 3.06 ERA across 85 innings at Central that spring. SEC and Big 12 schools checked in on him. Kansas State came with a strong late offer that gave the pitcher pause. Playing for the Huskers — with his family of Big Red backers nearby across the Missouri River — was too surreal to pass up.
  7. Would a soccer team be better at baseball or a baseball team at soccer?
  8. Sounds good— portal still open for a few weeks so if Fidler does choose here, chance Chucky could enter and also come here.
  9. I've gotta hand it to Miller here. That's a hell of a first few paragraphs to call. Only slightly missed on the 3rd paragraph.
  10. To add to this, home plate said he went around and never used his 1st/3rd base ump to check. Ended up being a strike 3.
  11. Maybe Fidler can bring Chucky with him. Fidler, Chucky, Kyle, Griffiths sounds good to me.
  12. This is true. That error that led to a 3 bagger was a killer at a terrible time too.
  13. Still pretty early for this type of statement, but we do need to get better in the mid-week pronto. It’s tough to sweep the weekends, but going 3-1 in a week is going to be a lot better than going 2-2. Huge to go 2-1 this weekend now. Need to get started right with Sears and Co. Need to stay on top of the B1G leaderboard.
  14. 10 runs should be enough to win a D1 game. We’ve gotta figure out midweek pitching
  15. Now let’s play some dang ball and win this sucker! Back within 1!
  16. Theres been some big time entries today alone.
  17. Not even in the Rothstein Top 45. Yeesh.
