  1. Husker Ladies Win, 77-65. Markowski with a Big Game; 20 Points and 21 Rebounds (most Rbs for a Husker Lady since 1990 ) GRIT, NO QUIT Husker Ladies!
  2. Kendall Coley is coming into her own. A Trey, followed up by beating the defense down the floor for an uncontested lay-up.
  3. Husker Ladies catch on Fire in Q3 Lead by 11 at the end of Three!! (Led as much as 16 Pts during the Qtr.)
  4. WBB Officiating is a Scandal Potts get tackled under the basket on Nissley's trey and Potts is called for a flop.
  5. Husker Ladies come back to take the lead by 4 (36-32) at the Half. An 'Up-and-Down' Game!
  6. Purdue by 10 Pts - on a 9-0 run to end the Qtr.
  7. Great way to celebrate your Birthday with a 19 pt win over Penn State!
  8. Ohio State's Free-Throw Shooting needs some work though.
  9. Final Stats: Ohio State Showing Why they're ranked #2 in the country! (No argument Here. )
  10. Ohio State putting on a "How-to" Clinic! Quick 7 points off of turnovers & steals. They are athletic and not adverse to taking chances. Their defense is smothering, a lot of reach-in fouls that are not being called (I think they are so aggressive the refs are just letting them play) Four minutes into the 3rd Qtr before we get our first score - they've scored 14 pts.
  11. Halftime Stats: 19-33 Ohio State Defense is aggressive/stifling!
  12. Stats at the end of 1Q of Play: Pretty even game early, Both teams missing a lot of shots/bunnies (roll around the rim and off), until OSU started making theirs in the last 3 mins.
  13. No one's posted the game details yet, so here goes: Nebraska Cornhuskers (16-8, 8-5 Big Ten) AT #2 Ohio State Buckeyes (21-3, 12-1 Big Ten) Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, 6 p.m. (CT) TV/Stream: Peacock - Sloane Martin and Kim Adams on the call. Live Radio: Huskers Radio Network (5:30 p.m.) Matt Coatney (PBP), Jeff Griesch (Analyst) https://huskers.com/news/2024/02/13/big-red-to-battle-no-2-buckeyes-on-valentines-day (with Iowa's loss) the Buckeyes climbed from No. 5 to No. 2 in both national polls. Ohio State is in the driver’s seat for the Big Ten Conference title. The Buckeyes' 12-1 Big Ten record includes home wins over current No. 4 Iowa (100-92) and No. 14 Indiana (74-69). Ohio State’s only loss came @ Michigan (69-60). The Buckeyes close the season with rematches @ Home against the Wolverines and the Hawkeyes @ Iowa.
  14. Thanks for that! I don't think any ref would make that call in a close game with a #2 team (especially Iowa) that would essentially end the game. BTW Kudos to Nebraska's stifling defense forcing the (non-called) violation. Watching Natalie Potts (I believe) guard Iowa's in-bounder was amazing.
  15. Thanks for this @Bugeaters1. It's a valuable message, indeed it was a life-limiting and life-threatening condition. If Matt can do it; Anyone can do it! And Thank you, Matt for persevering! We should have you around for many more years to enjoy your calling the Games.
  16. Huskers Knock Off No. 2 Hawkeyes https://huskers.com/news/2024/02/11/huskers-knock-off-no-2-hawkeyes Final Stats (PDF) Photo Gallery Playing in front of a school-record, sellout crowd of 15,042 at Pinnacle Bank Arena and a FOX national television audience, Jaz Shelley scored 10 of her season-high 23 points in the final five minutes to help Nebraska rally from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to an 82-79 win over No. 2 Iowa on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers trailed 69-55 at the end of three quarters before Shelley, Logan Nissley, Natalie Potts and Kendall Moriarty combined for all of Nebraska's 27 fourth-quarter points to rally Nebraska to its fourth victory over a top-five opponent in school history. Clark's three-point attempt with nine seconds left was off the mark, and a second three-point chance from Martin with six seconds left also misfired to close out the Nebraska comeback. (Enuf Said!)
