  1. Allick is very very exciting. He is healthier than at New Mexico. Explosive and competitive. If he comes off the bench it is simply because of rotational items so he can stagger with Mast. We have to improve shot selection. Too many guys taking stupid threes to quick and not wide open.
  2. I am perhaps a bit biased since I know Blake very well, but that pod is very good. Pretty knowledgeable and well spoken. I would encourage you all to give it a shot. Guest appearance in my future after football season.
  3. Will see hiw he does without the stud Moore who he inherited. I would bet a lot of money on the over at 98.
  4. I think we will be able to score more consistently and more easily. The key to this is playing defense like we did last year when we had to to survive. If we back track in that department we wont be much better. The good news is that there us no reason whatsoeer that we shouldn't be able to play as good or better defense.
  5. Anyone know when scrimmage against Utah is?
  6. One major thing to keep in mind is that we have the defensive minds here again that crafted a nice defensive scheme. Once Doc got demoted and started showing bad body language we started playing respectable defense and pulled off huge road upsets. Then Howard added to it last year. We have more athletic bodies to be good again on that end and hopefully even better.
  7. It also allows us to get out and run, which we typically are good at doing under Hoiberg if we can get a rebound.
  8. It is just super easy to take a guy out that moves well without the ball and has really deep range. Or not.
  9. I seem something along these lines. Coleman 26 Tominaga 28 Williams 30 Gary 22 Mast 27 Lawrence 26 Allick 18 Wilcher 18 Hoiberg 5
  10. Gary’s isn’t disturbed on per game basis as nothing changed about his role while playing minutes. Lawrence is though as any game he saw spot minutes doesn’t really count.
  11. Only so much you can do when the kid isn't in the portal unless you want to full on tamper. I highly doubt we were the only team his peeps reached out to, assuming the story is true. You shouldn't risk getting into a recruiting battle for a guy that isn't even in the portal and shun a guy like Coleman. We needed a serviceable player in the worst way to handle the ball.
  12. It may be the case where the rotation will change on.a game to game basis. I would like to see implementation of the hot hand approach, rather than an "NBA" rotation where certain guys know when they are coming in and out.
  13. Yes, he didn't graduate until he finished summer session in late July.
  14. Lewis seemed less than thrilled about grad transfers being able to transfer so late. That is not a player you can replace this late in the game for a Ball St. level program. 2nd team All-mac player.
  15. The key here, and I assumed we discussed it with him, is that he is coming in to play point guard. He took a lot of silly shots for Ball St. Shots we don't need or want. He has the handles and vision to play point guard it looks like. It isn't bad to have a point guard that can score, but we need him to facilitate our unique offense and save the poor shots for end of clock situations where he is very capable at finding himself a shot. I liked how his assists were way up near the end of the season.
  16. This would be a hell of a pick up this late in the proceedings. he had 8 assists a couple times in his last 5 games and his assists went up in general as the season went on.
  17. While we all were hoping for more from Lloyd he did have 4 assists each game.
  18. Gotta be more aware of your stats Cale! Come on man.
  19. You keep talking about having two brackets and the winners play. That is what a tourney bracket already is. There are two sections of it and the winners play, nothing would change by simply calling it “2” brackets other than potentially using two different locations.
  20. Haven't seen him on court since I started watching or on bench. I hope like hell he didn't get hurt. Edit. Right as I was typing that he came back in!
  21. While I was in the camp that could easily see paths for Jacobsen to help us, being a smart, strong and competitive guy, that I believe can defend at this level, I think we still need to temper expectations. I don't think we will be in a good place if we need him playing big minutes in this redshirt freshman year operating the point.
  22. Valencia managed to get up 56 3 pointers.
  23. 44-38 Huskers at half. Wilcher leading the way with 13
  24. He don't deserve his own thread so I will do a random dump here. Matt Abdelmassih to St. John's as the general manager for Pitino. Seems like an excellent fit.
