  1. Great last episode on the Scarlet Shootaround previewing Creighton, reviewing last two games and they had Sam Griesel on as their first guest. It is a tremendous pod. They know what they are talking about.
  2. it is a great point but nobody in our leauge is in a very likely to win category in our building.
  3. he is missing horribly on so many shots. Airballs, bricks off the side of the glass etc. It tells me his made percentage is fluky high. Needs to be wide open in perfect shooting stance for it to be a reasonable shot IMO.
  4. For the love of God why are you rooting for big ten teams to drop below us right now for any reason other than us moving up?
  5. It isn't really a good thing to be movinh up because they are losing.
  6. Yeah, I am fine with Keisei taking about whatever he thinks. I am speaking to everyone else.
  7. For me, I don’t care what the ratio is at should change game to game based on what the defense is giving you. What needs to change is somewhat challenged treys early in the shot clock. We need to hunt easy layups or wide open threes the first 18-19 seconds. We can typically get a partial contested trey in the last ten seconds if we need to. We are going to be mediocre at best if we don’t figure this out soon.
  8. This is a far more accurate post than your prior one. At the very least, that list significantly downplayed the importance of margin of victory. running up score at the end to win by 16 instead of 4 matters a lot.
  9. The perception doesn't matter as much as the data that goes into it IMO.
  10. Big 10 has to get their shit together right now. After you get into league play, the results are what the results are and the league is as good as the early seaoson results are. The computers don't understand that we have the best conference of coaches in the land and teams get better throughout the season. They assume all teams get better at the same rate. These early season struggles are REALLY bad for us who need this to be an 8 bid type of league.
  11. Margin of victory matters a lot. Chuck is simply incorrect suggesting that it does not make any difference.
  12. Good or great passing teams can certainly beat it with quick passes around the horn, especially resulting in tough to get to the corner. Illinois game at home last year comes to mind. They really had the ball popping and your rotations just cannot get there when that happens. All in all though, I love the scheme. We don't give up very many easy paint points, which I am very fond of, especially since the time they moved the 3 point line back a good bit.
  13. While I agree with what you are saying, I think the benefit of always doing it is that everyone is on the same page. If we try to choose when to or not, they won't always be. So that is some of the trade off I suppose.
  14. He will probabky remain on NIT selection committee to kick us in the nuts when we get fourth in big ten and go on road in NIT.
  15. Allick is very very exciting. He is healthier than at New Mexico. Explosive and competitive. If he comes off the bench it is simply because of rotational items so he can stagger with Mast. We have to improve shot selection. Too many guys taking stupid threes to quick and not wide open.
  16. I am perhaps a bit biased since I know Blake very well, but that pod is very good. Pretty knowledgeable and well spoken. I would encourage you all to give it a shot. Guest appearance in my future after football season.
  17. Will see hiw he does without the stud Moore who he inherited. I would bet a lot of money on the over at 98.
  18. I think we will be able to score more consistently and more easily. The key to this is playing defense like we did last year when we had to to survive. If we back track in that department we wont be much better. The good news is that there us no reason whatsoeer that we shouldn't be able to play as good or better defense.
  19. Anyone know when scrimmage against Utah is?
  20. One major thing to keep in mind is that we have the defensive minds here again that crafted a nice defensive scheme. Once Doc got demoted and started showing bad body language we started playing respectable defense and pulled off huge road upsets. Then Howard added to it last year. We have more athletic bodies to be good again on that end and hopefully even better.
  21. It also allows us to get out and run, which we typically are good at doing under Hoiberg if we can get a rebound.
  22. It is just super easy to take a guy out that moves well without the ball and has really deep range. Or not.
  23. I seem something along these lines. Coleman 26 Tominaga 28 Williams 30 Gary 22 Mast 27 Lawrence 26 Allick 18 Wilcher 18 Hoiberg 5
