  1. While I understand your fascination of the perception of the q1 rank, I am confident that it is wrong. In addition to it simply making sense that a q1 loss is better than a q2 loss, there is also the dynamic that if minny drops down then someone else is then up a quadrant. This gives other bubble teams and teams we are competing against for seeding more q1 wins.
  2. Another spot where being old helps.
  3. Way better chance of a 15 winning than a 16 as well.
  4. I am with you but afraid the fact we aren’t playing a highly rated Wisconsin team will naturally make it an impossibility to redo.
  5. We need to have Gary not taking high leverage threes if possible, especially early in the shot clock,
  6. One important thing is the ability to feed the hot hand. We have done a great job of feeding that guy and we have several who it can be that day, I think we are overachieving to an extent as well.
  7. No time to get lazy now my man! I am superstitious:)
  8. Seems like a personal choice on how much one values their senior year of high school. We all know how much we would or would not, but that doesn’t really matter.
  9. Good point on the pace. I think one could argue that an elite efficiency team playing at a drastically slow pace gives them a much larger chance of losing than one that plays at a pace with many more possessions. Therefore, I think one could also argue that score is enough to he used in calculations that matter. I love looking at the efficiency numbers etc. just not sure they should be used in the key calculations that are being used, due to the curb stomping effect in games that is not good for college basketball.
  10. Not sure why efficiency metrics need to be included in calculations that are used anyway. Seems the score paints a pretty good picture.
  11. A reasonably close loss will easily keep them in q1
  12. One good thing is that we were the only game going yesterday so if the selection folks were watching, we certainly looked the part of an NCAA tourney team,
  13. Really good job by our guards and Williams of coming down to clear the defensive glass when our bigs boxed out. We have to have that to have reasonable success on the glass since we don’t have any prototypical elite rebounders.
  14. Our defense while the game was in doubt was absolutely spectacular. Huge props to Loenser!
  15. Yeah you might be right. The general point I was trying to make is how these teams play. It is different than the Big 10. And it looks like it could be very problematic for us to stay in front of.
  16. Just a random post and didnt know where to post it. I worry very much about how offenses attack in all of these other leagues. They dont go through the post as much. We(and other big 10 teams) need to be able to defend the pick and roll actions extremely well. I think that is why the Big 10 struggles recently in the dance. It is a hard adjustment to make. All of these teams seem toi have a lot better point guards in general than we see in our league. I am very concerned that we are athletic enough to deal with such things.
  17. Yeah that is a twenty percent shot that happened to go in this time.
  18. Virginia, Miami, Grand Canyon all losing and Ole Miss getting blasted at home cannot be bad things I would think.

  20. I got hopes up when our odds of making it steamed a good bit at a sportsbook the day of, so was hopeful someone knew something. Instead we went on the road in NIT:)
  21. Nate Loenser being tasked with the defense and much more responsibility at the end of that season with Bryce, and relieving Sadler of much responsibility really helped move this thing forward as well. We instantly started playing at least a little d at the end of that season and got some wins.
