What’s happening in this photo????  She reports:  Kate was a bit upset regarding how her offense game was going. 
 
Rachel told her a story that a NCO told me back in Germany during our second tour there. 
 
A farmer’s mule fell in a well and couldn’t get out. The farmer was distraught and didn’t want the mule to suffer. The farmer grabbed a shovel and began throwing dirt on the mule. Every time dirt hit the mule it would... “Shake it off and step up.”  Eventually, the mule had shook it off so many times it simply stepped out of the well hole. 
Lesson: When you’re not doing well... Shake it off and step up.

Makes me proud to have such a great teammate. 

Man oh man... one of the nice thing about having nearly 1000 transfers a year is the opportunity to pick up diamonds in the rough who transfer this late in the game.  I have said it once and I will say it again.  In this day and age, it is almost smart to hold 1 scholarship back because guys transfer whenever they want to it seems.

Just a little heads up on Jessica's kid sister. Not even having played a high school game yet and maybe a little bit for now anyway, riding the coattails of big sister.
 
Sam Shepard 18' begins her freshman year at Fremont. She's already receiving interest from Creighton, Illinois, Michigan and Nebraska.
 
So in taking a page from Creighton and Iowa fans who like to let you know on their school being the first to notice new talent, not this one.
