  1. I have 2 tickets tonight if anyone wants them. I don't think I am going to chance it with the weather of making it back home afterwards. $20
  2. Woah.. Got off for a day. Didnt realize I would start the most responses I have seen in a long time on the Womens Board. I really do like Amy. I think what irritates me the most is that 1.) We can go from looking like a top 25 team to looking like the 325 best team from game to game. The consistency drives me nuts that the coaches can't get these girls to play with the same enthusiasm and I know some of that is not her fault. And to me this has been all the years she has coached 2.) I hate to really freaking say it but the subbing in and out is not a way to recruit top notch players. They want to play it out and learn from their mistakes or keep the momentum going. Too many times does Amy take a person out right after they make a hustle play. What top notch player wants to do that. 3.) I fear that Potts could be just like Brown. I am sure Potts loves it here but she has seen that she can play with almost anyone but continues to get taken out and in often. I sit right by the bench and this last game against Indiana I would say about 4 times a girl or girls made a momentum play and then the next dead ball they were taken out. So then their high that they just got disappears before they get back on the court. To me no legit player wants to do that. Lastly seeing Connie in very faint pink reddish made me happy. I think Nebraska could get Walz to come if the University wanted to make it happen. May cost more but what sport at Nebraska isnt paying a lot of money for their coaches.
  3. You get the right coach which we all know is doable at Nebraska. I think would be the first step in going to the next level. Love Amy but her style of play will never be good enough for the B1G or good enough to bring in better talent sadly.
  4. Non hustle plays make me want to barf... Amy will always get her 1 good win a year but she will never has to the level of Indiana Iowa Ohio state. And now add the new schools next year. We will be the bottom feeders until we put the money into a bigger better coach
  5. Omg give me Haliey Sample back to put on Parrish!!!! One of the best defenders in the 2000s if you ask me
  6. I sadly had to turn to a different game. The fact that White and Shelly can do the turnovers they do with the experience just rubs me the wrong way. Shelly was so damn lazy on defense. I have been on the new coach train for a couple 3 years now but the effort that some of these girls can put out is mind boggling and is on them if you ask me. KM & Hake were zero help yesterday. I wish they would be more consistent. Amy has got to figure out a way to get potts and nissley involved more. I think they will be the key to how the season goes for us.
  7. Made it to the game yesterday finally. Hadnt been able to make any of the other games in person. HOLY FREAKING POTTS!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a couple more tall hard working athletic kids like her. Next year with her, Prince and AM that should be a fun crew together. I agree Potts sat way too long at the end of the game. She should of taken a breather and put right back in. On another note I think she came out in the 2nd half they ran a play for her and she made a 3. Not sure if she made another point after that. They need to do more 2 game with her and AM. Jazz!!!!! Very disappointing if you ask me. Going to be hard to win any game if she has a game like that ever. Hake... I get it she can be quick and make some things happen on offense sometimes. But she is such a liability more on Offense and Defense. Her mistakes for some reason agitate me more than others. I think its the dumb mistakes that are easy to tell your self just no. White.... I love her. She can make things happen. Her 2 missed free throws towards the end of the game hurt. Coley.. I actually didnt mind her playing yesterday. She is not much for an offensive threat but she can make things happen with rebounds and on defense she has no problem pushing players around. I kind of like her for that part. Frustrate the girls. She reminds me of the girl that went to TCU last year. AM.... I think she has improved in her 3rd season now. She is grinder. I think she has a lot more stability to go on longer runs and doesnt get so tired so easy. I really do enjoy her. KM... She didnt impress me but she didnt stand out as bad either. I think she is just missing the confidence still. Krull is a little bit slower but I do like her as you can see she has the experience. Just not a great defender of the 3 ball. Nissely.. You can tell she is a freshman but she is not afraid to shoot and play defense. I think she will be used more as the season keeps going. Need Stewart and MM Overall I actually really enjoyed watching the team. They just couldnt get over the hump but they never gave up. The girls showed some fight and are not afraid. I think we will upset some of these B1G teams but I also think we could easily lose a game we shouldnt either. I think they will be a fun group and have potential to get a lot better if you ask me. Not much of a mid game shot. Mostly 3s or under the basket type of a team.
  8. Natalie Potts is the B1G freshman of the week. She is going to be a fun one to watch all year.
  9. I just hope we can put a good team around her now and not a have a 2.0 Jess Shepard!! Excited that my tickets are beside the bench even more now. Will be fun to watch.
  10. It is indeed another ACL. Going to be rough to come back from. She may never be the same but she will be good for the team still. Reminds me of Kissinger from Minden.
  11. https://www.si.com/college/indiana/basketball/indiana-defeats-patras-all-stars-101-36-scalia-leaves-game-with-injury Just so everyone is aware. Indiana played Greece teams as well. Also destroyed the teams as well. So its not like Nebraska did this on purpose. Also looks like Scalia got injured. That would be big for them.
  12. In the last decade of being a season ticket holder. Not sure we have ever had a team to full court press as I am watching this back now. That kind of excites me to see them do a little of this. Feel like we have lacked that part of our defense to get momentum going on our side!
  13. She was cleared last week to do as she wants. Guessing the coaching staff is easing her back into it.
  14. Josh is one of my best friends here in Nebraska step brother. He is a great guy I dont suspect anyone actually leaves the team. I think the assistants did a lot of the heavy lifting as far as recruiting to come play for Huggins. I am guessing most recruits and transfers will still want to play for the assistants even with Huggins gone. I was secretly hoping Josh would get the interim job and hopefully become the Head Coach later.

  16. https://www.pjstar.com/story/sports/high-school/basketball/2023/06/20/aaliyah-guyton-peoria-basketball-player-announces-college-finalists/70337037007/ Looks like we made her top 5 including Pitt, Iowa, IIllinois and Michigan State. Top 60 recruit on ESPN. 5'8" averaged 22 a game.
  17. I hope people realize even though this was a serious action that could of caused harm that these higher profile people are also human and make mistakes like the rest of us but are in the light and media for everyone to judge... I will pray this close accident is what will save his life and put the alcohol down and start something of new like being there with family and friends and that the alcohol and the added stress as a head coach is not worth it to get to this point. Not saying what he did is excusable but everyone makes mistakes and no one is an angel...
  18. Last season for the Tigers, Mathurin averaged 20.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game in 27 contests. The 5-foot-10 guard had over 30 Division I offers in hand, including Kansas State, Colorado, Purdue, Creighton and Wisconsin, before picking Nebraska. She was also a first-team All-State selection for the Tulsa World and the Ms. Outside winner in 2022-23, helping Broken Arrow return to the 6A state tournament for the first time since 2016.
  19. I didnt say it was warm or hot. I am saying we should stop dragging it on because her teams will never compete at the top. We have the $$$ to bring in an established coach that will change the program around. The amount of support womens volleyball gets could be the same for womens basketball if we could ever get there. Just my opinion. Add UCLA and USC and its going to get even worse for the Huskers.
  20. Still gunna go with I wish we just started new with a new coach this next year instead of dragging it out for one more year. Hope she proves me wrong but I dont see it happening. Fingers crossed the Freshman do Senior things like most of our freshman do before they plateau out.
  21. I see a couple womens basketball twitter pages are predicting Lauren Ware to be coming to Nebraska. I would really like this.
