  1. Way too quiet around here. A song for everyone in Memphis hearing some kick-ass blues.
  2. I caught the CJ Wilcher crud last night, so I'm focused on getting to the bathroom in time...
  3. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't be happier the Huskers don't play till 6 o'clock on Friday evening. It doesn't make waiting any easier...
  4. I filled out two brackets. One with Nebraska in the Sweet Sixteen, the other with the Huskers in the Elite Eight.
  5. In two weeks, Hoiberg will be the most under paid coach in the nation. Just watch...
  6. In retrospect, that AD wasn't permanent, either.
  7. Yeah, but we replaced Moe Iba with Danny Nee who at least took us to the Tournament multiple times. Look, I get what you're saying about Tim Miles. It didn't work out. Too bad it didn't. I really like this team, and where this program is right now. I'm done looking in the rearview mirror.
  8. I'm sure the missionaries appreciated the worn out shoes...
  9. What percentage picked Nebraska over Houston in Round Two?
  10. Thanks, Dave! What a long, strange trip it's been. While you guys are in Memphis cheering on the Huskers, we will be here declaring and decreeing the Huskers going to the Sweet Sixteen! I've already started. A&M and Houston have no idea what's headed their direction!
  11. We used to have a poster here named sideburns jones who was into mopping the floor. One of my favorites. I think @jimmykc took a hankering to him, also.
  12. I've already told my story on my first Husker game in the Coliseum. I don't want to be " that guy" who keeps telling the same story over and over. But, I will say, I really like this team! My early memories following the Huskers: this had to be the 70-71, season. I watched the Huskers play on TV on a few Saturday afternoons, during the Big 8 season. Never on every Saturday but at least 3-4 conference games a season. Marvin Stewart was a senior, Chuck Jura a sophomore. Usually won in Lincoln. I remember Marvin Stewart being so good! Probably my favorite memory from that same time period, was Wednesday night games. I grew up in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, and my dad was the organist for our church for 40 years. Of course, Lenten services could not be missed. They started at 7 pm, same time as Husker tip-offs. Remember, I'm 10- 14 years old, so I talk my mom into giving me the car keys so I can warm up the car the second the service is over. Usually caught the last 15 minutes of the second half.
  13. I always liked Mott The Hoople. David Bowie was a fan of this band. He wrote All the Young Dudes for them. This song is one of my favorites.
  14. By far Cipriano's best team, from what I've read. I was only 5 at the time.
  15. Trev won't be there. If he is, God help him.
  16. Reminds me more of Brother Love's travelling salvation show.
  17. I've heard the line for tickets was really long 3 weeks ago.
  18. That would be perfect. There might be one on the committee who might not like it.
  19. I think the Huskers got the best of both worlds, yesterday. They got the extra day of rest, and have a fire lit in their bellies. I never like to lose, but a B1G Tourney Championship is not the end all be all for this season. Much bigger fish to fry for you Catholics! Wow, can you imagine the buzz at the fish fries if the Huskers play on Friday or are coming off a Thursday win? No one cares about Creighton.
  20. I don't know what to think. I know the committee loves storylines, but I also know they love to play Lucy holding that frickin' football....
  21. I would go back to 1994 to the Big 8 Tourney and have us lose to Missouri in the semi-finals. The 2024 Huskers are avoiding all the pitfalls previous Nebraska teams have fallen into. It's a fun time to be a Husker fan.
