They're in the process of dropping it again. However, if you're in the mood for a great burger, we've opened a restaurant in Omaha on 168th just north of Tiburon called Angus Burgers and Shakes. ?5 points -

So . . . let's see: Signing Brady Heiman wasn't all that good of a deal--since he can only high jump 6'8" when he stands at 7 feet We should have recruited Daum--even though no one knew right away (even at the school he attended) that he'd end up being good This Shareef kid is a 2-star (if any stars) and has offers from only mid-majors until just recently We now predict that a recruit we did sign will do worse (four years hence) than the guy we didn't pursue--leg hair and all And we somehow should have gone for someone other than the player who is already on campus and proving (rumor has it) to be the real deal The reality is this: If Nebrasketball can sustain a fourth-place finish in the B1G more than twice every six years, Nebrasketball fans will come out of the woodwork--in every city and in every corner of this State, including Omaha. And the vast bulk of those 90,000 fans who sell out Memorial Stadium every Husker game day will be die-hard Nebrasketball fans as well. And the high school basketball studs throughout this State will flock to the Vault as well. Go Big Red!!!2 points -
The CH family welcomed our first Grandson to the family yesterday morning. Everyone doing well. The basketball side of things is the kid has some of the longest fingers on a new born I've ever seen, palming a basketball will come easy. Now if I can convince his dad that Nebraska is a better place to play than Misery. Dimes if this needs moved please do so.2 points

In theory, we have 3 scholarships per year. So generally, you could argue that each year you need to bring in a guard, a wing and a power player. Sure, that can vary from year to year due to a myriad of reasons; but hey, that has to be close to reality. You are the head coach, what qualities are you going after? And if you have geographic location in your top five or ten, where and why? For me, it varies a bit by position. One example, I like my guards coming from the Northeast. I also like the upper Midwest (specifically Chicago) for my guards. I see a certain toughness or grittiness, especially with NY or NJ guards. Bigs and wings (for me) can come from any geographic location. But I would argue that a player is a player, so geographic location would not land in my top five must haves, and may not even land in my top ten. I am looking more at basketball IQ, athleticsm, ability to shoot, score, defend. I would look at leadership, the ability to be a teammate and the players overall character. I would also want someone who can find his way academically, as student life is certainly important. Finally, at what point do you choose a local kid over a national kid? If a coach is looking at two kids for one position, do you take a local kid who perhaps rates out as a 7 versus a national kid who grades out at an 8? I've been recruited (a long time ago, and for a different sport) so I am not 100% sure how it works today. But I am certainly interested in points of view.1 point -

And Creighton is not nearly as popular in Omaha as they'd like to believe as there are more Husker fans of all sports here than the Blue Jays. It's not really even close.1 point -

It's such a cool venue, too. That's one thing that makes this stuff so disappointing. If they were just a bit more concerned about quality and less about volume ... It really ought to be a great place. If the bar fails (for reasons described above) I would REALLY love to see a high quality food joint go in there. It has a great location a very short walk from a parking garage or two, it has nice street appeal and there's a lot to be said for the interior as well.1 point -

That AAU director you're talking about coached Brady Heiman for three years. What school is he going to again? Kenya Hunter's son has played for that same organization the last two years. Eric Piatkowski's son has played there the last three. Nebraska chose not to recruit Shereef.1 point -
