Recruit wherever there are players who want to play for NU. We had success with girls from Canada and a girl from Alaska was pretty good.4 points

I'll take that statement some what seriously....... Certainly not wrong but....at this point in the long term team development, we'll take any highly qualified/skilled player. And will continue to go after the 500 mile locals. Maybe someday when all the real good talent is knocking at our door we won't need go overseas or elsewhere. Coach Amy does what she has to do, to get where she and the team is trying to go. ......If that means recruiting "aussies", so be it.2 points

Bigger impact in 18-19?

I like Nana. The guy works hard and I think has the desire to not only be successful but also see the team succeed. If Nana can master the 3 and D role, it would fill a huge void for us. Amir I think will play some, but the step from high school hoops to Big 10 basketball is big and freshmen during the Miles era haven't had a big impact. I would love to see Thor be used in a similar style as Manu Ginobili has been used as a members of the Spurs. Someone who can be a spark plug off the bench and act as a change of tempo. From the limited film I've seen on Thor I think his game and Manu's game are very similar.2 points -

Football redshirt and transfer rules

I'm not sure we've been in that sort of era in a century. Knute Rockne was notorious for pulling kids out of steel mills to play football, and there was no policing organization to make sure that schools followed rules. Boosters "employed" athletes during Devaney's time and slipped money under the table, as they did at any other top football school. Basketball has had documented point shaving since at least 1950 and other scandals. While it may have gotten worse, the main thing is that all of this is reported so much today. So maybe we grew up not hearing about it so much, but bigtime college sports have never really had anything to do with education. It's a minor league sports system, and the schools leverage the success of their program to get donations from alums and sell themselves to prospective students. It is what it is, and while it's a questionable system, I probably donate more to DONU when the teams do well. ?1 point -
If you are trolling, well played. If not, two words... Title IX If your criteria for a women's program is to "break even", you can kiss Husker football goodbye. And, for every Nicole Kubic, Jordan Hooper, Karen Jenning, or Maurtice Ivy, you will find a Kelsey Griffin, Danielle Page, Anna DeForge, Lindsey Moore, Rachel Theriot, Chelsea Aubrey, or Cory Montgomerie. Talent within the 500 mile radius is important, but, if you want to compete for titles, you need to look everywhere. We have coaches with international connections. It would be mismanagement, not to utilize their strengths. Otherwise, welcome to the forum.1 point

Anton Gill's going in for a workout with the Charlotte Hornets today! Good luck Anton! Looks like they post player interviews on the day after their workout, so there should be more to come tomorrow.1 point -

Also look to the foreign market. Perhaps that is a viable option ?1 point -

Bigger impact in 18-19?

I would love for it to be Thor. Because if it were I think that means the stars are aligning for something amazing. I am full on gulping the kool-aid this season so why not double down? I mean next season is already lining up pretty nice. Lets just go all in. Thor breaks out surprises everyone has a sophomore Glynn Watson season as does Glynn Watson and all is right. Who's comming with me?1 point -

Harris due to his versatility. If we can truly play the point....it allows you to get creative with Watson and Allen off the ball.1 point -
Of course..if they all bust. But I don't think it's likely that we go 0-4 (even 5 with Davis). And yes we're thin up front...but moreso at the 5. That's where we need the help the most and he wasn't going to help a lot there. Borchardt would've got more time there than him. Case in point, if McVeigh was playing serious minutes for us this year....something went wrong.1 point

South Minneapolis. Brewing for a place called ‘Wild Mind Artisan Ales’. I’ll extend an offer to any HHC folks that make it up to the twin cities: hit me up and you can get beers at my brewery on me. Only price you pay is having to ask for me.1 point -
Seems to me that Williams needs to focus on getting basketball players in the 500 mile radius of Lincoln where there are plenty good players!! Chasing down players from around the world and the costs associated with that does not fit in with a program that does not breakeven!!!-3 points
